You guys are a riot. I'm simply going to say "ditto" as you all know my stance on 'that site'. I do agree with Fan though that there are some great people there...some who post here as well so I hestitate painting everyone there with the same brush. Some are there strictly for pictures and videos and avoid all the Apolianne conversation. It's the Admin that many of us have major issues with and rightfully so. Trust us!  |

I wanted to say on behalf of the people at Dry Ice ... like every place you go in this world there's nice and not so nice people. My name is on the roster over there but I tried to delete my account and you can but your name will remain up forever. I've never posted there but I'd opened an account once upon a time. As number1 mentioned there are nice people there, this is true, all the silly bantering with mtnme was just that. I'm just not into spending all my hopes and dreams on wishing Apolo and Julianne were together. I'm not saying that would even be a bad thing. I say, "To each his own ... se la vie." ( my french is bad and I'm french, actually my parents both spoke french but we moved when I was very young and I never learned it ) ![]() gotapolo.com/galleries/albums/forumicons/wink.gif[/IMG]I just saw Lexi's post after I posted mine. Yes, they have great pics and videos over there and nice people too without a doubt. You know like the old saying ... one bad apple doesn't spoil the whole darn tree. You all are right - Not everyone deserves Mr Sharky-  (but you have to admit- he was just waaay too funny to pass up.)  Should anyone feel the need for a rapacious carnivore in their posts- I have added Mr Sharky plus some other fun ones to the "Smiley"Thread on the Un-Apolo board. |

for posting images (photos/smileys) directly to post message
right click onto the image you want to post -> go down to properties and click ->
while in the properties box...highlight entire address (URL)
then right click and copy URL ->
click OK to exit out of properties box.
go back to where you want to post image -> right click and paste URL.
here's a sample URL (it's mr. sharky):
i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd5/mountain_me/shark.gif
to create an image code from your URL add the following:
[ img ] in front of the URL and [ /img ] at the end of the URL.
now the image code you've created will look like this:
[ img ]http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd5/mountain_me/shark.gif[ /img ]
(remove all spaces)
go to preview to check image...good luck

If you want to save an image, picture or smiley and store it to use later, here's what you do: 1) Open an account with Photobucket.com (there are other websites to do this, but Photobucket is the only one I've had experience with), then sign on and go to 'My Album'. 2) In the 'Upload' area, click the tab that says 'Web URL'. You'll see input areas with instructions to 'paste web URL here'. Then you follow number1fan's instructions (above) to copy the URL of your image, and when you've done that, you simply paste it into one of those Photobucket input areas, click 'Upload', and it'll be there when you're ready for it! 3) When you want to use that image or smiley in a GotApolo post, all you do is go back to that Photobucket 'My Albums' page, locate your image, click the URL that's listed next to the words 'Direct Link' (it will copy automatically when you click it), then paste it into your post using number1fan's instructions (above). NOTE: When you FIRST copy the URL from the original image (when you right-click the image then click 'Properties'), you need to remember to use Ctrl+C to copy, 'cause you won't be able to use your mouse for the copy operation. ALSO: Note that there is an 'Insert Image' shortcut on the 'Post Message' page. It's just above all the smileys, in the 'Add Tags' section, 4th from the left, bottom row. This last one sounds like it will be exceptionally handy- especially for those of us who are having fun with all the new emoties. We are getting quite an "archive" built up in the smileys everywhere thread on the non Apolo board. Everyone is bound to find a few that amuse. (Although I am saving a few "very special" ones to spring on all of you at just the right time!!!  ) |

It's probably just me but I thought I'd check: Has anyone else been re-directed to some strange page whenever trying to access the GotApolo main page? That's been happening to me just today only. I have no problem getting to the forum because a direct link is in my favorites, but if I try to reach the front page I'm there for a second, then sent somewhere completely unrelated. Probably something weird I'm doing but I thought I'd just check. Thanks  |
