Hey guys! I'm starting this thread to answer questions pertaining to the board itself (you can include questions about the main site, too). I've tried to answer questions as they come in, but I'm sure there are some I have missed. For right now, I'll leave the thread open for people to post questions for help, and as I respond, I'll start to create a FAQ in this post by editing it so future users won't have to sift through questions.
Don't ever think your question is stupid! There are things about this board that I don't even know and I might have to go and do research on. But I promise I work to find the answer and explain it until you understand my gibberish!
So start posting your questions, or suggest things that you found confusing in the beginning that you think I should post the answers to!

Q: How do I post a picture?
A: There are two easy ways:
1. Put the URL of the picture in between [img[i/]] [/img[i/]] tags.
2. In the message box (not the quick reply box), paste the URL, highlight it and then click the image button (2nd row, 4th from right under Add Tags).
Q: Where can I host pictures?
A: There are many sites where you can host pictures for free. A lot of users here like PhotoBucket, ImageShack, etc.
Q: Why does [image] show up in a post?
A: That will show up if a picture has been removed from the host--i.e., if it's old and the person who posted it has deleted their picture account. It will also appear if the string of characters (the URL for the picture) is too long. ProBoards has a limit of 100 characters in a row. If you can, rename the file so it's shorter.
Q: How do I put an avatar (the icon under your name) or a signature/siggie (the box under each of your posts) in my profile?
A: While logged in, click the Profile button in the top navigation bar. Then click Modify Profile. There you'll find a form where you can enter the URLs for your avatar, and where you can modify your signature (use tags like you would in a message). You can have both text and images in signatures.
Q: What is an invisible user?
A: It means you can be online, but other members can't see who you are.
Q: What is karma?
A: Karma reflects the good or bad feelings people have towards you, so to speak. If a member really likes a post you made or a comment or just loves you, they can "exalt" you, which adds a point to your karma. If they think you need to be taken down a notch, they can "smite" you, which removes a point from your karma. You can exalt or smite a member once an hour.
