Thank you, Lori!! It seems like a long time until we get to see them all skate again, but it will go by fast. I would love to go to Vancouver and see them compete! (....and SLC and Minnesota and Austria and Michigan and the Netherlands and....)
Hopefully Apolo will pop up a few times between then and now.
(...gotta go play the lottery...)

Thanks Lori. I've been saying that one of the world cups would be in Vancouver in October and now it's official! Hopefully, I can meet some of you before, during or after if you travel to Vanc. for the World Cup #2. I'm guessing that Apolo will come to this one as it's an opportunity for him to try out the Olympic venue in advance of the Olympics. I've contacted VANOC for information about tickets but no answer yet. The actual Olympic tickets go on sale in October as well.

I've also changed the name of the Yahoo Group. Because of the name change, if you bookmarked the old link it won't work anymore - here's the new one. I made it more generic so I shouldn't ever have to change it again. sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/ShortTrackTripPlanning/For those who don't know what the Yahoo Group is, I created it mainly for the OZ members, because they don't have a forum like we do here. During our last trips, I made sure that news here made it there, and vice versa, so there's really no need for GA members to bother with it, though you're more than welcome to join! Also, I've been asked what the events in bold mean. I am definetly planning on one of the World Cups.. I'd like to go along with the same sterling group from WC6 if you are all planning a repeat. I could manage Salt Lake or Vancouver but of course I'd be hoping AAO would be skating. I'm signed up on the Yahoo list. In addition, if I find a buddy, I'm up for Austria... hey why not??? I loved every moment of WC6. I'll bet the time will fly by. Now that our team is the best of the best we have even more to cheer about.

 We east coasters don't get much of a break, do we! There is nation-wide love for short track, not just west/central-side love! I hope MI gets the Olympic trials, then all will be right in the world. However, if they are in Seattle, I can kill two birds with one stone- a visit to a beautiful city that I've always wanted to see and to catch the human God of ice again in his hometown. What could be better? Oh yeah, to have at least one major competition on the EAST COAST!!! Disclaimer: No actual birds will be hurt nor killed in the name of short track hysteria.
