Bella's still gone? I want to know what her "fix" is. I'll be honest with you. I'm tired of the "outsiders" too. If they don't like the way this forum is running, then they need to go back to the forum they came from. It's so simple a 5 year old would know it! If we're too mature, or funny, or sexual, or whatever their personal hang up is. They simply need to stay away. Why do they need to be insulting and condescending to the way our group behaves? Oh, I'm sorry. My bad! Torino was stoopid again! Some people are just mean and catty, aren't they? That's their bad karma.  |

wow i just stumbled apon this thread just now lol alittle late arnt i?  the last post was made in the middle of 2006 and now its 2008  i was wondering if anyone was still for the idea of an 18+board? |

Nay to the 18+ board. Not necessary. I haven't seen too many teens posting, and the ones that do seem to be mature, intelligent young people who know how to handle the personal and sexual content that pops up once in awhile. Do I care that Nikki and others like her are offended? Not really. It's not like they own the forum or was elected the board censors. Keep the forum the way it is. It's one of the best fan sites around. Lots of diverse, intelligent and honest opinions, humor spiced with a bit of sex talk, entertaining, and always has the best info about Apolo.

I guess it's a moot point Ally, in as much as for starters- I think we have broken all the rules 'Nikki' had an issue with YEARS ago (LOL), - and since so many years have passed since this thread was started- our more recent ' guests' (grace,kat, justmeagain) have had more of an issue with the AGE of those of us who are posting- not WHAT we are posting.... (scratches head, we have apparently been given a cut off date to be a fan...so I guess the new thread for our guests, would have to read "18+, but under 30"...)  Also, in accordance to 'guests' wishes, anyone over 29 must leave the forum immediately! ...huh, duh wha?  ?, - Horrors! we were even dubbed perverts!  Fortunately for us 'alleged perverts', the GA forum has grown since this thread began to include all ages and opinions, some racy, most not - (well OK, those most recently unearthed 'wet t-shirt' pics of Apolo got A LOT more of the former posted lately   but my opinion is - if some folks don't like those sort of comments and inuendos, then Apolo needs to stop doing those sort of photo shoots! - Have Mercy, our willpower only goes so far !!!) Fortunately for us, those who populate the forum these days seem to be rather grateful we of the "18 + AND over 30" brigade are going to the competitions- so that we can bring you the latest, up to date info and blurry pictures we can get!  ...shuffeling off on my walker now (I have no idea how I'm gonna get this thing on the plane...I'll have to ask Lori, GND how she is gonna get hers there....) I have to make sure I pack my depends, hearing aid, Centrum Silver, etc, etc, for my trip to SLC.  |

Hey, arn't we all over 18 here? If not..didn't see you!  I think it's fun to have 18 plus board. More sexy pictures of Apolo! And I need to ask him (whenever I get to go!) if he care to take some naky pictures of himself! I know you would all enjoy it..but he could get mad with me..  Oh well!  What you get, you get! |

Mtnme, I had a real good laugh when I read this post. It's this kind of comments that makes this board so much fun to read. Fortunately for us, those who populate the forum these days seem to be rather grateful we of the "18 + AND over 30" brigade are going to the competitions- so that we can bring you the latest, up to date info and blurry pictures we can get! Thank you for reporting back with photos and news of the competitions. You gals sure know how to have fun and enjoy life! And we can experience that fun vicariously through all of you.

Ah, this old topic rears it's naughty head again! If I've ever given any opinion on this, I don't recall what it was. Since it's back though, I'll toss my two cents in. I don't actually have a "yay" or "nay". Just a few thoughts:
First regarding the minors on this site: I like you all very much and I respect your tender years. I personally do not plan on writing anything that would be bad for you to read. As for whether or not you should view someone elses mature subject matter, that is between you and your parents/caregivers. I hope it doesn't sound like I don't care because I do, but that responsibility is theirs. I've had my days of shielding young eyes, snapping off tv's, slamming books shut and giving explainations. I'm done. My girl is 22 years old. She can look at anything she wants to now. Bottom line: What falls upon the eyes of our board young'uns is up to those they belong to.
Next: Am I likely to take offense at something I see? I doubt it because in all probability I won't see much anyway. I'm a grown woman. None of that is new to me so most likely I'll do my standard "yawn and scroll" until I reach whatever info I'm actually looking for. Happy writing!
Finally: Apolo. Well you knew I'd have to throw him in, after all he is the person to whom the fansite is dedicated. And yes, I'm fully aware that he too is an adult and would not likely succumb to fits of horror at anything he sees should he stumble upon us. Noted.

I think there is one tiny thing to consider. Now that the G/A ladies have become more visable by attending his races and appearances, the chances of Apolo giving us a mouse click might have increased somewhat. Perhaps just my wishful thinking, but you never know. If any among you who got to meet him happened to drop the URL, he may decide to come take a peek. In fact, if you were even half as charming in his presence as you are in here, I'd bet the farm on it. He would want to hear from you again. I guess what I'm getting at is if by some chance that did happen, is everyone comfy with what he'd find here? Has he ever given any indication that any particular subject matter in reference to him is displeasing? Seems like I heard a little something at one time but offhand I don't remember what thread.
Lindsey is very generous with what she allows on this board so most likely people will post what they want anyway. These are just a few things I consider when the old question pops back up.
