18+ board: yay or nay?

nikki..I totally appreciate your opinion but it is difficult for us when people who are not registered and almost never post..to pop in with opinion on the direction of the site.....if you are lurking..jump in and post and put your ideas in and who knows where we will wind up!!

sadly some of us...me included if left to our own devices....can start to
really enjoy ourselves!!!!!

Thanks Nikki. I apreciate everybody comments to be honest, even Guest's.

I mean I learn alot about internet behavior and the human nature to know how much of oneself to reveal on the internet, who's truthful, who's not, how to tell and when to put someone on blast.

At the same time, i think to be fair to everybody, some people come to this board for different reasons and they have admitted those reasons as well. MT feels comfortable on the board because there are alot of posters that talk about Apolo in a similiar manner than she does. Amy tends to gravitate and connect more with the older posters, Jay tends to connect more with the younger ones.

You got Nerka who is a Mod but is barely here, but when she is here, she is the Graphics Queen and even takes time out to make graphics and avatars FOR US, and barely ANYBODY says "thanks Nerka". Then you got Chika and Baila and Jay and Sintha, those that loves to post pics! Any pics you need, those girls can get it...

And many, many more. So many people that are on here for there own personal reasons, and that's what makes the board great....but at the same time, we all do it for one reason.

And that reason is Apolo Anton Ohno!! So again, you get more on him, we get less of the other stuff.

You are SO right, crims, about the internet bringing out people's personality and one really learning a lot about the human psyche..Yes, obviously people are on for different reasons, and as on any forum, as in life, there are groups that tend to dominate.But it is very cool that Apolo is bringing people together, isn't it..You know he would like that.

I think that actually August and Roses1 proved a point for me. I mean we had to have an thread to call back old members??? I mean these two posters, and a couple of others, were posting back in the day. Even BunnyWuffles who I see from time to time.

Life happens, sure. But to keep up the consistently to attract new members and to keep our old ones, we have to keep in mind that everybody is valued and that we can go off-topic, but maybe have places for that.

Or we can be silly, but again, maybe have places for that. But we have to keep posting if we want the board to grow.

I love apolo and the truth is although he is a good person, ve3ry positive and wants to be an ambassador of good will...he is still a young man and extremely sexy!!!!!

and I am sure he nknows how to have a good time..

Hey, I LOVE talking about Apolo and anything to do with him. I was and am talking about the comments that have nothing to do with him...'I'm horny, I had sex with so and so last night, I am drunk....." and that sort of thing..I am all for talking about THE MAN! Oh I don't know Laura, that's why I said that I wasn't taking any sides. I mean I think that if we had more Apolo to talk about, then we would have less of alot of stuff on the board.

But then again, I don't thnk we should banned anybody, or any topic. But we have to think of some solutions as to how we can create a more harmonizing board.

I thought having the poll was a great to do that. What went wrong

And that's what we need, more of the posters to come out and say what they mean, I will or will not post. Here is why and etc.

That helps to get convos going and not put blame on one party or another. Because again, some of these posters, they really mean no harm.

I have an idea. Let start calling people out on the important topics! Look at the bottom of you page on the main board and see who's online then call them out to post.

I bet people will start posting more of their opnions then

I think putting and 18 and up board would me sweet! I mean im 2 young, but some u girls that r older than me have things u wanna say and feel trapped that u can't say it. I doln't mind what u girls say... Just speaking out..
