I got it. You think some of the posts are tacky. If you throw a dodge ball at someone you better be prepared to get it back full force.

Yes, Crims, any new mods that want to venture forward will have to go through Lindsey. I cannot sign up a new mod, only Lindsey can. I was merely recruiting.
And I think your strategy is a good one.
As I have posted before, I tried to contact Lindsey via e-mail and I'm sure she is just busy traveling and has not had a chance to respond.

Bella, I remember the now deleted post you referred to. I think even Mother Teresa would be hard pressed to find anything remotely offensive in it. You know... were she alive and all. I think you're a wonderful person and you've been a great moderator. Look, what say we go outside! I'm serious. Lets everyone simultaneously hit the power buttons on the computers and get some sun. Go to Bath and Body Works and splurge on some spoil-me stuff. Roll sideways down a grassy hill with your kids. Treat yourself to a huge, healthy smoothie from Jamba Juice and read some mindless chickfic. Get a pedicure. In the immortal words of our dear Apolo: "Breathe... just breathe". I think we'll be all the better for it.

I did forget to add, can you NOT understand how your discussions have driven people away and made them NOT want to contribute to threads...GEEZ is that hard to figure out...people are gone for a few days, look at the direction of these threads and go elsewhere..I finally decided to say what I thought last night and to discuss, but alas, no discussions, attacks. So whomever, GO FOR IT! I AM SO DONE! I'm discussing, I thought? I have also appreciated your viewpoints if not being called "tacky." I can agree some of my postings have definitely been less than high-brow and .... oh well. I will work on self-sensoring my more graphic posts esp if they are not inherently amusing. But I'm not going to ask anyone else to quit posting about anything that suits them unless it is mean. It sounds like you don't want anyone to post anything personal and/or raunchy? If this is because you don't wish to read it (which is just fine in my book and I have no problems with that, at all, at all) wouldn't some identifier that racey comments are to follow ( like posting in pink sufffice. If your intent is to prevent people from posting racey posts period well, I'm feeling a bit trampled on and repressed by having someone elses baggage dumped on me then. There are compromises possible (post in color or take the naughties to a seperate thread). There are two other Apolo boards that are quite upright and proper. Do we really need another Apolo board for virginal ears/eyes and if that is the way the mods/owners feel compelled to go with it, someone explain to me why I want to belong to this board over them? I found this board solely and entirely because I couldn't make sense of a fan site that couldn't post anything about the celebrity that was personal and a public, heavy press event was mysteriously dubbed "personal." No criticism meant, I just couldn't figure out the rules and so try to post on that site only my most Sunday school of posts. Speaking of people who have fled sites, Nikki, go back and compare the regulars pre Oz melltdown and after. It is startling and incredibly sad. |

I stand by what I said, tacky...NO desire at all to join now, and I can't imagine many others feeling that way either. I don't understand the mentality of discussing this kind of thing on an internet site either...I did try to join prior, and said so several times. I think posts are not comprehended particularly well on this site, ya know. Now I have no desire to even READ or LURK, so go at it.
