Okay, here is a thought.
Why don't we have this set up like other fan sites, where you have a message board, PMs, and then a chatroom.
Most boards don't even use their chatrooms because everybody is talking on the main board, so what about a separate chatroom for this site. Or a chatroom added on???
Can or will this site's host let us do that?? Who is the host, Proboards???

okay, if people hate me after this, I could really care less, but after going through all the posts on this thread again tonight, I was really disturbed by something. I didn't post right away because I refuse to post things when I am mad, so I took some time, relaxed and I am still upset so here goes.
There are people on this site, who are not members making personal attacks on the members. This is ticking me off because if we were given the chance, we would have welcomed all the guests with open arms, the site is open to everybody. But instead, guests are posting how they feel the site should be run ( which is fine, but do not attack members!) in a very "tacky" way and telling us what we need to be talking about. Nikki wrote that several times that she felt that what we talked about was tacky and how she cannot believe that we can't see how our discussions are driving people away, well it seems that very few of the members have a problem with the discussions. Most of the members are adults, and those that are teenagers know what they want to look at. What mature adults talk about is not tacky, it is an expression of feelings and sometimes sexual desires, yes I said it. If mature adults cannot talk about the object of their affection in a respectful but slightly graphic way, what are we to talk about in these times of drought? The weather? If making harmless yet slightly graphic refrences to a mans general anatomy is tacky, is looking at a good looking guy and wispering something about him to a girlfriend tacky? If so that I am EXTREMLY tacky! Is reading Glamour and Cosmo to learn new ways to please your man tacky? If so, then I am the queen of Tacky! This board is not prim and proper buttoned up to the chin, we want to have fun! The voice of the people has been raised and obviosly people are listening and agreeing, if some people such as guests do not like it, they are free to leave, no tears from me.
This is just my personal opinion on this. If we get "out of hand" on the forum, and it's considered too "adult", then we simply need an 18+ board. Period. I'm probably not going to be answering any posts regarding what I just said, especially if they're negative. I'm not trying to start an argument, I'm simply giving my opinion. Thanks ladies.

apolosangel8907 - Well said, I agree with you all the way. The last I checked, this was a message board...and message boards are for chatting are they not?  Some of the "guests" just sit back & spew about how how awful we are and how awful our conversations are. So, is it supposed to break my heart when Nikki pops out and says that she won't join now? Like anyone would miss a virtual slap on the wrist? I know this may piss off some, but I for one could care less about the opinions of those who do nothing but sit back & lurk and only appear when it comes time to point their fingers and tell us how awful we all are. I should add, I do not aim this comment at all the "guests" on this board. |
