You're so lucky angelina to live in such a beautiful place! Its my goal to someday visit there. I would love to see some of your pics! I'm ashamed to say I don't have too many outdoorsy-type pics to share. However, I do have these two for now: This is the view from our house. We are very lucky to have an awesome view overlooking Waikiki. Here are 2 of my kids at the Waikiki Aquarium. Not an actual Hawaiian coral reef, but a good simulation, I guess! If I'm able to find any more, I'll be sure to post them!

Wow! Wow! Wow! What spectacular photos everyone has. I'm so jealous of the beautiful places so many of you hail from. I'll have to add them all to my travel list. As for me, I'm in the city of Halifax in the Province of Nova Scotia on the South Eastern coast of Canada. We're situated in the Atlantic Ocean and almost completely surrounded by water; no part of the province is more than 35 miles from the ocean. We're known for our Scottish heritage, Gaelic culture, ceilidhs (kitchen parties), celtic music, highland dancers and pipe bands and amazing hospitality. We're referred to as 'Maritimers'. The leader of our Province, our Premier, is only 34 years old and an accomplished musician and champion fiddler to boot. Only in Canada! Halifax is the Atlantic base for Canada's Navy and as the many sailors who live or visit here will tell you, they love our nightlife best and we proudly boast.......... Trivia: Halifax, Nova Scotia is famous for having the greatest number of Titanic victims buried in one spot. One grave belongs to J. Dawson who was a coal trimmer and part of the Titanic crew. If you recall the movie, Leonard DiCaprio's character was Jack Dawson and fans of the movie believe that one grave there, J. Dawson's, was the final resting place of Leo's character. Ironically, director James Cameron said that he was not aware of Joseph Dawson until after finishing his Titanic screenplay. Still, lovestruck fans of the movie still flock to J. Dawson's grave here and leave movie stubs, personal photos, flowers and pictures of Leonardo DiCaprio. Following the movie and several years afterwards, tour buses regularly made the rounds at the cemetary. It was mayhem as you can well imagine at the time! One of our city's most popular restaurants was the former morgue for Titanic victims and is said to be haunted. Our Maritime Museum of the Atlantic houses original artifacts from the Titanic. One of the pieces on display is lounge panelling - one piece of which many believe Kate Winslet's character floated on at the climax of the movie. That plague is incrediable, even thought it's not Jack Dawson..darn! But that movie will always be my all time favorite! God, what a view of Nova Scotia. Lovely pics, ladies. I need to take more pictures when I get back to normal!

Tynormem, What happened to the house? Was it yours??? hopefully you are not homeless! I have never been to Maine, but it sounds beautiful. I've read everything by Linda Greenlaw, who apparently lives on an island off the coast of Maine. (She has a new "fiction" novel out by the way, "Slipknot" I believe it is called.) If you have not read any of her books, you truly MUST read "The Hungry Ocean". If any of you have seen the movie "The Perfect Storm", Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonios' (sp?) Character is based on Linda. Fascinating read! -and she is a highly amusing writer as well. Have a safe trip. And let us know about "the house"!

Lovely pics angelina! What a very nice view of the city and ocean, beautiful sunset!
Lexi, very beautiful pics, looks like a very nice place to live. Interesting story about the man with the similar name from the Titanic movie. It would be even more interesting if there was a Rose Dawson too.
Ty, very nice photos but I was also wondering about the housefire one, is there a story behind it? Have fun in NY! Thats another place I want to visit someday, take lots of pics!

No, mtnme we are not homeless. That is a picture of a historical building near my house burning down this Spring. I will look into the books. tdavis, that and MORE. Those were pictures from what we call the Easter 2007 Storm. It came in 2 or 3 days before Easter in mid-April. Nice huh? NOT! Thanks lisam. I did tell the short version of the house fire story. I hope to take lots of pics in NY! I took every one of them Jenna, and thousands more. Mostly of my kids, but there are many landscape ones, and hundreds from the fire. I am an in the closet pyro.....(no I don't set things on fire, but I like to watch things burn, and I love to have camp fires and a fire in the fireplace.) Thanks to you all for worrying about the fire. It didn't affect me any more than blocking traffic on the only road to my house and that made for a long walk!

From the sky to the sea... this is from the top of the tram at Mt. Alyeska ski resort, in the middle of June this year. This is my best friend who travel with us frequently. A para-glider taking off for a nice ride, Mt. Alyeska Down to the sea, my hubby and me, at Land's End Hotel at the end of the Homer spit, Alaska. This halibut catch is from one of the many sport-fishing boats in Homer. The small boat harbor at Homer with Kachemak Bay in the background. More to come later.......
