I have the photo CD of the pics but not the actual picture, can I do it from that. I can put the CD and it shows the pics, but I can't save them to a folder or anything. So, I don't know how to do it. If anyone can help me, I'd appreciate it.

Bravo, number1fan! ;D My son and his kids would love to be there, surfing those awesome waves! They have a second home on the big island, Hawaii, but they seldom get over there since the home is rented out. I hope to post pics from our coastal area, as well as all the ski areas we visit, photos of Alaska, Canada, Europe, the UK, the Baltic countries, including St. Petersburg, Russia. But first, I have to upload them to Photobucket (or the like) and that will take time. Geez, I'd have to be very selective so that I don't overload this thread!!! What area(s) would be of the most interest to you all here???

Choose the pic you want, and copy and paste it on your "my pictures" folder or wherever else you keep pics on your hard drive. From there you should be able to upload onto a photobucket account. If you don't want to save the pic to your computer, photobucket gives you the option of uploading a pic directly from your cd. Just click the "browse" button on your photobucket site, click on "E:" drive, open and upload. Hope this helps...I'll talk to you soon

Thanks for starting this thread. It's neat to see everyone's photos. Here is my hometown...well the river that runs through it. This picture is the headwaters of the San Marcos River, and it was taken from a glassbottom boat. This pic is also from the glassbottom boat, and it is the some of the springs that feed the river. Here is a better view of the springs. The bubbles in the sand is actually water coming out of the ground. This one is the Rio Vista falls before the 2002 flood. This is the same falls after the 2002 floods. The falls had to be reconstructed, and they are different now. This is a picture from Sewell Park on the campus of Texas State University, and the San Marcos River running through it. You can see some of the campus buildings in the background. Here are some turtles getting some sun, and the SM River in the background. Here are some more turtles on a path that leads to the river from someone's yard. Here are some wildflowers that can be found during the springtime.

Wow! thanks everyone for all the photos ( I wasn't sure how well this thread would go over!)
Sara, beautiful gardens, The one with the fountain looks like it is in a canyon of sorts.
Melle, how beautiful. what part of Texas? I have only been to Dallas, which certainly wasn't as green a lush as this! And the falls look totally different after being rebuilt!
Thanks everyone for all the pics so far!

I've always wanted to go to these gardens! They are beautiful. Do you think they'll be in bloom in February 2010? Added: Or will it be too cold then and I'll just have to keep warm inside that short track oval?

mtnme, #1fan, and everyone ... wow! Love your pics, they are breathtaking! mtnme, I was in Reno/Tahoe earlier this year for my sister's wedding. We were able to ski a couple of days, and the kids went tubing and had a blast. They're asking to go back ... and even said they'd prefer Reno/Tahoe to Disneyland! Huh?!

Well it's certainly BIGGER than Disneyland! (which by the way, I have a special place in my heart for - for the rest of you who Don't "get it" - hey, I grew up in S. Cal... It's our thing, let it go...)why take a virtual white water raft ride when you can do the real thing? Hopefully we get some decent snowpack this year and they can REALLY tear it up on the slopes!

Here are 2 photos from a vacation several years ago to Vancouver Island, British Columbia. These were taken at The Butchart Gardens Sara, these are beautiful shots of Butchart Gardens... I was searching to see if I was in that photo! Just kidding here... We were there twice, once on a sunny day, as in your photo. The second time, it drizzled lightly part of the time. Both trips, it was in September so it wasn't cold and the *Gardens* furnish umbrellas for those who wish to use one... nice service! Anyone going to Vancouver Island/Victoria should make the (worthwhile) trip to Butchart Gardens. I don't know if they are open in February (as in 2010) but you could find out online, I'm sure.
