Updated the first page of this thread to have a Q/A...what I'd originally intended to do and never did! Better late than never. Any more questions you gals think should be on there?

I can't view any pics in the gallery, will it open up soon? Or am I the only one who is having a problem?

Lisam--I posted this on the frontpage of the site, but I should have posted it here. The galleries are down. I have no idea why. The free host I use is retarded, but guess what? I bought new hosting today!! More details on that later. So I'll probably have the gallery up on that server sometime tomorrow, I hope. It takes a bit for the nameservers to transfer, since my domain name is still with another site. I'll keep ya'll updated on what's going with it. Sorry!! Many many apologies.

How long does it usually take to get approved - a few hours, a few days?
I'm not being impatient - just hoping I pressed all the right buttons at the right times!

I don't see any accounts pending approval, Guest. Try it again and I'll keep a look out for it.

Guest, I think you've already been approved. Welcome! To answer your question, it usually takes about a day.

Are there any other Mac users out there? Using Safari? I'm having a problem with the imbeded emoticons in the message feature of this site. I can't get the top row to appear in my messages except the last 3 in the row. Second row...no problem. Is there something different about the ones on the first line?
If nothing else, would someone mind just replying to this message with all of the emoticons in it? That way I can cut and paste them into another document to reference.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

OK. That last one was me coming in, but not signing in, and now I can't take away a picture that has no place being here, but is a nice picture nonetheless. I decided to stop whining about not being able to post a picture properly and seriously read this thread to figure it out. If I got it once, I can get it again...

Lurker - I can delete that pic you posted above. Are you copying the image code from an imaging site such as Photobucket? You should be able to copy & paste that code and the pic will show up. Also, be aware that there appears to be a character limit in the linked URL when posting images here. If the image code is too long, the picture wont show up. The character limit is 100 characters - anything longer than that won't show up.

I am FOREVER wanting to add something to my PM's - is there any way to edit a PM if it hasn't yet been opened and read???

I did some research on the Proboards forums and it looks like a lot of people want to be able to do this so they are going to try to implement this in the next version. But as of right now, there's no way to take back or edit a PM once it's been sent. Sorry... I can think of a few times I've wanted to add or take away something!

This has probably been asked and answered more than once. How do you do multiple quotes in replies (using excerpts only)?

This has probably been asked and answered more than once. How do you do multiple quotes in replies (using excerpts only)? As you read this, understand that when I say *left bracket*, I mean the symbol [ (when I type the symbol, the computer takes action to 'quote', and I don't want it to do that for purposes of this explanation) You have to read very carefully, and understand that something like *left bracket*quote author=kirkland board=general thread=113319888 post=123943837] BEGINS your quote - note that 'kirkland' is the author I want to quote, and watch for that closing bracket. Then remember that *left bracket*/quote] ENDS your quote. You can delete ANYTHING in between, even quotes by other people... Now let's say I'm quoting 2 different people - this is how I do it: When I have my first quote in the message box, I delete unnecessary verbage and 'preview' until I have it like I want it, but instead of POST REPLY, I'll SELECT ALL and CUT. Then I QUOTE my second poster and immediately PASTE what I just CUT, either above or below it in the message box. Then I'll play with it again, add my own comments and preview it. I just keep repeating the process for every additional person I quote. Give it a try on this thread if you like, and I'll try to help you figure out what (if anything) you did wrong.
