OK, I think I might have cracked it! The link below is of the same footage (Mens 1000m a final) however, I've only downloaded 3 minutes of it just as a test. But when I click on the downloaded file, it thinks is it an audio file; opens up Media Player and all you hear is the Chinese commentators. aaosmts19, I know that what you just described is usually a codec problem. The 3 minute footage doonick posted this time downloads as an .avi file now so you should get both audio and video when playing it. I have converted doonick's video to a .wmv file--try downloading that and see if you get visual with the audio (if you do, then it is a codec issue on your end with certain .avi files). Thank you all... OK, so that means it IS a codec problem as I thought. aaosmts19 and mtnme, If you download the codec from the site doonick posted you should have no problems viewing .avi files. I downloaded that codec thing from the divxmovie site but still nothing. I have Real Player set as the default media player and am wondering if that is the problem. It downloads and Real Player opens but the file just keeps 'connecting' and nothing happens. This happens with all avi files and I also tried the megaupload thing and that didn't work either.
Any suggestions?

Head on over to the video thread, there's a bunch of China videos waiting to be downloaded! Some of you may have problems viewing them (no visual or sound) but I'm sure another member can convert the files and upload them to Megaupload or Fileden. Team GA, it's mission accomplished! |

Hello,
I have loaded the codec that was referenced. Now is the opposite.....video but no sound! Next step is to try to get video AND sound! Any more suggestions? THe only video I've been able to run is the test one from mega upload.
Now I know that the sound is probably secondary, since its all in Chinese!

I have a different problem, I can't get the links to load, it's perpetually on 'your download is starting', without actually doing so. (Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong?)  But why dwell on such minor details when we can have some-more fun with the ISU. This is the e-mail I got back from them. My question - WHAT TV Agreement?  ? There isn't any TV broadcast of the EVENT!....(just apparently an agreement to hold this video hostage, no doubt...)  And note the signature. So THAT is what happened to the famed race horse!!! - he's working the desk at ISU!  (...or more accurately, it's just some random horse's @ss...)  Dear Friend,
