Track Conditions and Rink DimensionsThe ice rink of Harbin International Conference, Exhibition and Sports Centre has an artificially refrigerated indoor ice surface of 30×60 meters. Protective padding covers the boards in accordance with Rule 280, paragraph 5. The standard track will be laid out 111.12 meters to the lap.
EntriesAlthough Members qualify automatically through the World Cup Series, it is necessary that the qualified ISU Members reconfirm their participation.
Entries for the ISU World Short Track Speed Skating Team Championships 2008 shall be made according to ISU Rule 282, paragraph 3.
Preliminary Entries with preliminary names of Skaters (ISU Rule295, paragraph 4) must be received by the Organizing Committee not later than February 18, 2008.
Final Entries must be received by the Organizing Committee not later than March 10, 2008.
Post Entries are not accepted (Rule 282. paragraph 4 e).
Competitors must be present in Harbin at 18:00 o’clock at the latest on March 14, 2008 or the Organizing Committee must receive documented proof that the competitors are in transit and will arrive in due time for the Championships. Competitors who do not comply with these requirements will be excluded.
Citizenship Residence Requirements and Clearance ProcedureIn accordance with Rule 109 of the ISU Regulations and ISU Communication No.1420, all skaters who do not have the nationality of the Member by which they have been entered or who, although having such nationality, have in the past represented another Member, must produce an ISU Clearance Certificate.

iability, Medical Insurance and Medical ServiceIn accordance with Rule 119, the ISU, the Chinese Skating Association and the Organizing Committee assume no responsibility for or liability with respect to medical bodily or personal injury or property loss or damage incurred in connection with this Championships. Each Member is solely responsible for providing insurance (medical and accident) coverage for their athletes.
Medical service will be ensured for official and unofficial practice sessions and competitions in accordance with Rule 140.
Doping ControlAnti-Doping tests will be carried out in accordance with the valid ISU Anti-Doping Code (ISU Communications Nos. 1447 and 1448 or any further update of these Communications.
Training SessionsAll training sessions will take place at the competition venue. The Organizing Committee will prepare the schedule of Official Practice Session upon receipt of the final entries and travel information.
Additional training sessions can be booked from March 10 to 13, 2008 (included) at the Organizing Committee at the cost of USD 100 per training session of 45 minutes. While requesting unofficial practice times the Member is committed to pay the appropriate ice rental fee to the Organizing Committee upon arrival. The ice rental fee will be charged to the Member federation concerned even if the ice is not used. If two or more teams agree to share one training session, both (all) of them can share the cost.
AccommodationThe Organizing Committee will provide meals and lodging for three (3) nights with lunch beginning on March 14 and ending March 17 at noon for the officially designated five (5) Ladies, five (5) Men and one (1) team leader for each participating Member in accordance with Rule 137.
All Teams arriving prior to Friday, March 14, 2008 or departing later than March 17, 2008 and/or ISU Members bringing in more than the officially designated number are kindly requested to settle the payment on site at the following rate:

130 USD/person/day in a single room (including one breakfast)
100 USD/person/day in a double room (including one breakfast)
Meal
20 USD (one lunch)
20 USD (one dinner)
Reservation can be made through the Organizing Committee only before February 18, 2008.
The 50% of the accommodation cost must be remitted in advance to the Bank account of the Chinese Skating Association, not later than February 17, 2008.
