Susie - thank you, again!!! He just passed everyone on the inside like they were standing still. All of a sudden it was wide open for him -- he's phenomenal.  And thanks for starangel's scrapbook. I wonder who she is? And she just gets to hang out with the team all the time (no, I'm not jealous   ). I'm glad they are just flying from China to Korea in that plane - I'm hoping Apolo and team get seats that recline all the way back with lots more room for the long flight home. But I'm sure they sleep REALLY well on the way back no matter what. And I hope Apolo gets to eat an entire pizza all by himself.  Thank you, thank you!  |

That was incredible I haven't really been on cause yesterday was our 8th wedding anniversary but I am so glad to see those pics and that video I love Apolo's reaction.Can I make an observation it seems like they are all friends off the ice I mean you can clearly see they are having good times at the banquet.And Apolo has his Prada shoes on again! Thank you Thank you !Susie for diggin it up and Starangel whoever she is rocks!

Susie, THANK YOU for that video link. It was so awesome to see Apolo's pass. The other teams weren't skating the turn tight enough, and the tiger on the prowl flew through the opening. So great! There's a reason they always have Apolo skate the final laps of the relay. No one else can capitalize on opportunity like Apolo!  Fun to see the pics from Starangel's site, too. As daisymomma says, it looks like many of the skaters are friends, or at least friendly, off the ice. I'm glad! Love the plane pic. Karma, Susie!  |

The ISU has now posted video from the races but for contractual reasons, we are unable to view in the U.S. (as well as Japan & China). Is there anyone who's in Canada or perhaps Europe reading this that can rip and post these videos for us? They have video from the Men's and Ladies' a & b finals for the 500, 1000 and 3000. Many of the World Team Athletes have been enjoying some much deserved time off. Rumor has it that they are due back at the Oval to get back into training in about a week or two. If you would like to send your well wishes and/or kudos to the Athletes for a job well done, you can send them c/o USS. Just address it to US Speedskating and the athletes PO BOX 18370, Kearns, UT 84118I'll bet they'd get a kick out of hearing how all of us- all across the country (and even some Canadians)  - were all huddled in front of our computers into the wee hours of the morning, cheering for them through our little electronic boxes, and commenting together on the World Team thread. I know I had a great time spending it with all of you and reading all the comments- I'll bet you did too. (Lori and Wags, I'm still giggling over your relay skate remarks)  Should we brainstorm over a little something extra to include in thier cards as a group?
