OH harsh! Apolo comes in 3rd after a Korean DQ and doesn't make it out of the semi finals.  His time on the last two laps is way out there. A possible slip or (please no) - a fall?  |

In the old days, he would go to the FINAL but now, only the B. He can still medal but it would involve some big DQ's in the A final.   ..hope he's ok too  |

The way this WC is going, I wouldn't bet against multiple DQ's in the final. I hope Lee didn't take him out. If so, I'm not liking the new rule at all. Any volunteers to kiss his boo-boos? Been lurking forever but I loveloveLOVE watching the live ST updates - I'll be spent before the Super Bowl starts. Great forum, BTW!  I hope to register today. Susie, I don't like the new format either. I think its crap. |

Looks like Apolo is prob. going to be in the A final. Just looked at the ladies 1000m final and the Bs got bumped up into the A final b/c there was only two. This is the same as the men's final. Keep your fingers crossed summore. |

Allison DQ'd in her 1000M final. Up against two Koreans and 2 Chinese. That had to be rough. And WHAT is going on with Apolo's races? Almost all the way through and then nothing....and a restart. This is definitly where the live feed is lacking. Apolo Number1 in the final b heat though. Too bizarre (yeah, Susie, I thought I saw that too - but hey, the second flash went our way, so I'll take it!) |

I saw it too. They restarted it but man, their times were s-l-o-w that first race. Can't wait to hear what happened. Maybe Peter Ducet from that link you posted can shed some light on this. And then...Apolo won afterall. Go figure. |

It looks like he got 5th overall...very respectable, especially considering that he hasn't raced internationally since last March. I still wish he had made the final, though. We'll have to get the story on what happened in the semi from someone who was there.
