Listen, I was reading the rules thread but I can't remember if this was mentioned, but can we have an Over 18 section? I don't mean this in a 'porn section' type of way, but just a section where, if someone wanted to take it there, they could. They would also be able to curse. Other rules like no flaming members could still apply, but we would be able to express ourselves in a more...um, free-wheeling type of way. I basically miss the old style of the board where you know, you didn't have to worry about posting 'regulations' (I respect the regulations, btw, but I'm not a kid, you know? I gotsta feel like I can say what's on my mind without feeling like I have a 'minder.')
I hope no one (Mods) takes offense to this. I certainly respect that this is not my board and I'm not a mod and I can hit the road if I don't like it. But I've been a member for a while and feel like a lot of the people on here (at least the people I know and have had conversations with) are good people and can govern themselves (as I had seen them doing for so long without the new rules). But we all have our own personalities and wanna share in our own way.
Anyway, that's my long-winded request.
Oh, and if this board is made I wanna be the mod, lol. ;D

Ruffian, I think that's a good request. At least something to be considered.

Thanks Crims. I hope they do consider it! I wanna emphasize the that I don't necessarily want to encourage people to get all porny, lol (but if you want to...;D). Just converse and debate and enjoy the fact that we grown ups and don't have to censor ourselves.

Or not so much that. But I think that there were rules put up for various reasons. However, I think that the rules might had caught some people off guard and they are those who still may feel a little hindered.
Lots of boards have it, especially for fanfic...

I wouldn't make it a rule that you absolutely MUST BE 18 OR ELSE!! Just, make it clear to everyone that the section is for adults. An 'enter at your own risk' type of rule.

I think it should be for people like Ruffian said, when you feel like getting a little more looser, but not as silly...kinda like how it used to be.
I mean the board was just like it maybe only 3 weeks ago??? What happened?

I feel inhibited and I'm usually pretty good. I don't even know why. (I think I have a guilty conscience, lol). I think other people feel inhibited too and it cuts down on a lot of my 'regulars' posting and conversation.
Plus, this 10 word minimum is kicking my butt. Sometimes, just a dab will do ya, ya know?
*censored a cuss word, had to fix*

Whoa, there guys. I guess I was REALLY unclear in the way the rules were presented. I don't mean for any of ya'll to change the way you were talking before. I'm not deleting any more posts than I used to. I really feel bad that you guys are feeling inhibited! But as far as I can recall, you guys weren't posting anything really *bad* before, anyways... So I'm not sure why you think the rules apply to you. Like I said on the rules thread - they're guidelines. Maybe my perception of PG-13 is different from what yours is, so maybe I should take that out. What I meant by keeping it clean was too not get too graphic about things... I'm not saying we have to keep our conversations at the level of a 13 year olds... So maybe there need to be some amendments. So for now, go ahead and keeping posting - us mods don't delete very much at all in terms of topics that are a little, you know.
And remember, I'm open to amendments. Maybe some of you weren't aware of what was going on with the 10-word posts (Ruffian, check your PMs)... I thought I said in the rules, that there are exceptions. The *general* rule that I stipulated is subject to change... There was just a lot of stuff that was going on that I wanted to stop and I didn't know a good way to fix it.

Lindsey, it ain't even you. You ain't even the problem. I just wanted to get that out of the way first and formost. I think the problem here is that again, lots of people got thrown for a loop and lots of things had been happening and the board has been changing for the past couple of weeks. And it wasn't just simple things but the deletion of posts, and the fear of being deleted has gotten out of control. And again, it was your message, but you wasn't the messenger and SOMETIMES we have to be careful about that because you thinking your message gets out one way and it's gonna affect people in this way, but by the time you actually sends your message, the interpretaion is different. That's all. And that's not a slight to nobody else on this board mod or otherwise. And if somebody thinks their getting slighted on this post, DON'T! That is not my intention.
