Thanks for the kind words, Crims... I'm feeling like a totally bad mod right now and I must admit I had suicidal thoughts towards the board a few days ago. Rose was feeling overwhelmed as well, so now it's just me and Nerka. I feel like I've destroyed something great that we had here, and I desperately want to get it back. Very discouraged mod. And this in the midst of finals... Lindsey, don't you feel bad about this board or this forum. It's great. I hate to say it but there was bound to be fallout from the new resolutions, now granted maybe we didn't think that it would be a Mod, but at the same time, this person did state that they had other issues. So you can't feel bad about that or this. None of this is your fault!!! It's your board and you do as you see fit. We know that you didn't delete alot of posts, but we never said that you did. And again, the Alison thread was getting way out of hand, so it needed to be deleted. Just as long as the board gets back to the comfortable air that actually it's getting back too, then things will be different. And it's not just about deleting posts, lots of stuff. Life for example, whoever takes graphics from other people, give credit where credit is due. And whoever makes graphics, whether it be a poster, mod, or website, then tell people once to give credit and then leave it alone. Don't keep beating people over the head with it. I mean it's a lot of issues, and we need to talk about them. And I am sorry if I am making people mad with this, but more people need to come on out and speak their minds, DURING peak hours and not at 4:00 am where hardly nobody is on. |

Lindsey, Crims is right. You shouldn't feel badly. You took an action which you thought would correct a problem.
On most boards I've been on if changes were made which members didn't agree with, there would be major arguements instead of constructive conversation. Members would leave and admins and mods would all claim their decisions were final and desentors would be banned if they continued to complain.
Only a great board with caring admins, mods and members can work through problems and all try to work out what would be best for the site.
Keep up the good work. We all love it here.
With regard to the PG-13 rating on fan fics, I love DarkBlades but don't want to do a story necessarily as graphic as you would see on their site. However, it is hard to write a mature romance and keep a strictly PG-13 rating. If we run into questions about what would be acceptable to post as part of a fan fic, should we run it by you first?

Terri, I think that's an excellent idea. (Hi, by the way, and welcome, I'm Bella - you have really picqued my interest in your fan fic  ). I love the way everyone is contributing to make things better. It's the sign of a stong and flourishing board. Lindsey, you are the best. I love the folks on this board and I love comin' here. So glad you decided not to shut things down. Contributing here is like a little oasis from the "seriousness" of my daily life and I'd feel really sad if it went away. I started off as an Apolo fan (and of course I still am), but now I'm a "GotApolo" fan, too. And I find myself wondering what is going on with everyone on the board as much as I wonder what's going on with Apolo... the only difference is I wanna make-out with Apolo and I don't necessarily wanna make-out with you guys... no offense... ;D ;D ;D |

At first i joined this forum (by the way its my first) because i thought, " o wow how cool is this its place filled with people more obsessed with Apolo than me! im normal here!" and i still think that but now i feel what keeps me coming back here is the people, everyone is pretty nice, kind and respectful. the mods r great (lindsey ur so great! thank u for not giving up on us! i love what u have done here and i noe im not the only one, and good luck with finals they suck) and all we are having here is just a way to make the board better than it already is. And let us all not forget that we came here for one reason, Apolo |

Wow, it's good to see this board get back on track. My temper is ceased (look, I'm sorry, but I know some of my posts were deleted. They were funny ones which I thought were of no harm and they were gone and I didn't know why. I still dont, but it still left me feeling a bit ticked off)
Well, it's good to see things lighten up, because I would have invited you all to my board (I'd have to talk it through with my friends) but this board is definitely a ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK! But alas, it looks like the majority is speaking out. Huh, I guess this board is a democracy after all.
