I was just wondering if you knew of any boards out there that you could speak your mind more freely about Apolo without being so cautious or polite? I feel that I have a lot to say and talk about but I don't think that I can post it hear because it is so clean and nice. Not saying that I am bad but I am feeling like having some healthly Apolo discussion without wondering if I am offending anyone. (The Apolo/Allison picture thread is hilarious...people are just walking on egg shells making sure that they don't say anything mean about Allison.) Rules on this board were definately needed because the "LOL" and "hehehehe" and random posts about birds needed to end but being an adult and 18+ I would like to have more stimulating conversation and I was wondering if anyone posts elsewhere on the web. Again, not anything raunchy but maybe something with more sunstance than this board?

I don't know where you everyone is getting the idea that everything gets deleted. I pretty much let most things go! I hardly delete things that aren't just "LOLs" and the like.... The only thing I recall deleting that was controversial was the old Allison thread and I think we all agree that the posts are better gone, from both sides of the argument. People are DEFINITELY free to speak their minds here. I'm going to go ahead and remove the keep everything PG-13. I wasn't speaking to the maturity of the posts - I was mainly referring to sexual content (i.e., more than raunchy)... and I've seen very little of that. So here goes the modify option and I'm taking it off. People are just getting the wrong idea. We have had some very mature, open, and stimulating conversations here (am I wrong?) which has recently gotten buried as of late. If we keep posting as we used to, the *clutter* posts, as I refer to them, will eventually work their way to the bottom of the board and we'll have the same kind of convos we used to. That was my idea in creating the rules to begin with, but I see they have caused more problems than they have helped...

I do understand what u were saying warhouse i'm not 18 yet but i've been on that level of maturity for a very long time. But i do like u revised them to guidelines now Lindsay.

Well, I KNOW one thing for sure. There is no way in HE double tooth picks you guys are going to let me talk like I do on my 18+ boards. And I'd not feel comfortable doing that here, anyhow, knowing full well that there ARE people here under 18. This IS the ONLY board I come to that is NOT an 18+ board and I come here for 2 reasons: because I really like Apolo AND this is the ONLY board that I know of for him.

But I do like it here, it's just I KNOW for a FACT, there is NO way I could talk like I "normally" do on those other boards. There's no way the mods here would let me get away with that. I'd either be warned a few times and/or kicked off, that I know to be true. ;D

I can get pretty crazy, wild and very uninhibited when I want to and well....MOST of the time, I want to. That's ME and I'm not going to change anytime soon.

Yes LovinApolo there are other boards out there that are geared toward Apolo and such. And there are lots of boards that are 18+ but really, do you think that those boards know who is 18 and over posting and who isn't? Come on.

The fact of the matter is this, Lindsey, again I said your not the problem and I don't want you to take it that way. And Amy, I am not saying that we used to get super-raunchy about Apolo. But I do think that they was a air of freedom that was felt on the board alot more and recently, that air has gotten thin. That's all.

Last night, overnight, we had some fun, and everybody was not 18, I mean they wasn't 14 or 15 I admit but we all had fun. And nobody really knew anybody ages till that thread "How Old Are You" started. That's why I didn't post my age, because I don't think it matters.

LovinApolo, you come here and post, and you say what you want to say, if Lindsey (whose board it is I might add) says it's cool, then post your heart out

lindsey lovinapolo ruff and crims i couldnt have said anything better myself, in the words of crims u guys hit it on the nail i miss the conversations where u pushed the edges (allison thread was to much for me) but the Apolo being good looking affecting u or not, that was probably my favorite thread i think its inmportant to clash and challenge, thats how we learn and yes learning is my favorite thing ( i noe im a dork). i think the big issue is the randomness and of topicness, sometimes off topic is good, and the occasional randomness was good, but talking about what u had for lunch on the Apolo sats thread was odd

Warhorse seems to understand my sentiment. In the Apolo/Allison picture thread she made the quote, "After visiting this forum I feel like I need a trip to the dentist because I want to make sure that I don't get any cavities from all of the sugar sweet things people are saying about Allison." I could not have said it better myself. I am not saying that I want to have a negative thread or a thread to bash people but it just seems like people used to post more freely and now it seems, in my opinion, that everyone is walking on egg shells not to offend anyone. In the process some good old fashioned healthy debate is being ignored. After visiting that thread (Apolo/Allison picture) I posted my post up top because it just seemed really fake and I wanted to know if anyone else posts somewhere were we can talk (I am not saying raunchy or cursing just freely talking).

Wow, a lot to respond to. Here's my thoughts, in no particular order...

I have noticed a lot of people holdin' back, and I particularly miss others who used to post a lot more who have been as of late lurking rather than posting.

One question I have is this: Were people being modified alot before the rules? I wasn't, but I was curious if others had been. I have not been holding back since the rules were published and I have not been censored.

I definitely want people to feel free to speak their minds (modified only by their own imagination, creativity, intelligence and/or modesty and the gentle hand of an adventurous moderator with a generous sense of humor) , and I am interested in what's on everyone's mind. I think the modified guidelines are much looser and make it easier for people to say what's really on their mind.

If another section of this board is created for more mature posts/posters, I'm definitely there. But I think this board can be what we want it to be. We just need to keep talking about it - and with a little give and a little take, we'll make it work for everyone.

I agree Bella maybe a thread for more mature posters should be made. Enter at your own risk kinda thing. I don't know i just want everyone to feel comfortable posting and speaking freely because we have such great people here who offer a lot of good things in their posts. I don't want anyone to leave. U gurls are all great. =)

i completly agree with ur bella and apolosgal and lovinapolo but one thing i dont feel like there can be much conflict about APolo, ok his hair is debatale and Allison is debatable, but what else is there, i mean if someone hates Apolo thats debatable, even though i dont noe why they would post here

And Amy, I never said that we can get away with things here like we could on a 18+ board, and we are not trying too. I said for those who walk on eggshells, remember that egg shells can crack.
