What do I mean? The guy works like a dog for the Olympics. Then, AFTER the Olympics, he has to run and do THIS show, go and do this store's promotion, give this interview, press conference, etc. I mean, I guess it's part of the territory and all but after all of it is said and done, I'm sure he's just glad to be able to go back into the "woodwork" and just being Apolo, know what I mean by that?
He's even said before, somewhere I read where yeah, he liked the attention after the first Olympics and going to the Oscar parties and meeting all these people and stuff but he knew that he had to get away from that stuff and go back to Colorado and train and get back to some "normalcy in his life.
I can totally understand that. After awhile, I'm sure that stuff gets old and tiring.

Thanks for posting those Amy (by the way, do you prefer to go by Amy or Anita?). Yes, I am sure Apolo is very ready for a break. I have the feeling fame is not all it is cracked up to be.

You can call me either honey, my friends do, and I consider you and the others here my friends as well so either or is just fine. I did tell you how I got the AMY, didn't I? My first, middle and married last name intials spell the name AMY, isn't that kind of bizarre? I kind of like it, though. It's kinda fun!

Well, like you said AMy, 'it comes with the territory'.....i mean Apolo has said that he'll do the 'promos...and stuff like that if it somehow helps popularize Short Track. And also, Sponsors!!! don't thing he can pay for everything!

I realize that but....if you are someone who is like say an actor or something "akin" to that, I think that prepares you more and those types of people are a LOT more into "this" kind of stuff than say a "serious" athlete like Apolo. And I'm aware that sponsorship is important and helps pay for stuff. It's just if you REALLY look at the expression on his face in the last few pics...the guy looks kind of tired, wore-out and looking as if he'd really rather be somewhere else, doing something else. I can't help it if I read people's faces well and feel compassion for them.

True!!! i agree Amy. He said that he would rather be hangin' out with his friends and relaxing and all than goin' to like big hollywood stuff and stuff like that. So, yeah, i kinda feel bad for the guy. But, hey....that's Life.......and like he always says "That's Short Track"....i mean you can't have everything you want. :/

He might be tired. maybe not tired enought to be there but perhaps tired of smiling for more than 15 minutes for pictures. Maybe his jaw hurts.
