On May 18 of this year will be 26 years since Mt. St. Helens blew her top, so to speak, here in the Pacific Northwest. I didnt' live up here then...I moved up here in September of that year. But I know plenty of people who were. And I've been to see her ( the volcano ) many times since I moved here from "La-La Land". In fact, the last time was last summer, when she was blowing smoke and ash from her crater, re-building her dome.... Just Pacific Northwest Geological History for ya...Gosh, I'm such a GEEK, aren't I?  |

 I didn't say he couldn't "handle it", I was just saying that you can tell in the pics where he is ENJOYING it and when he looks like he's had enough....I prefer the one's where I can tell he's enjoying it. Make sense?  Yes, me too! |

Hmm....May 22 is a Monday!! and it's the FIRst week of Summer Break (for me) woo-hooo!!! Im gonna be like up all night and be here!!!! celebrating!!LOL
When he does turn 24, then he's just a year younger than my brother. koOl!!

Krysten....sorry, but most OR/WA Pacific Northwesters associate May 18 with that, it's HARD not to. It was such a HUGE Natural Disaster here. And last year was the BIG 25th anniversary. But it still, I guess, does NOT make me any LESS of a GEEK though, does it? LOL! And your birthday is in September too? What day? I start off the month, on the 1st. I was born on my mother's 29th birthday. What a trip, huh? ;D

Haha....i live in Cali and didn't Know that May 18 was an Anniversary.....i learned about Mt.Saint Helens when i was like in 6th grade!!LOL.....so yeah!! thanxx Amy for the info. and no you ain't a GeEk!!!

Thanks for saying I'm not a GEEK but I really have NO PROBLEM being one. It's who I am, I guess. It was really cool when I was going to Portland State University because in their Geology Studies Department, they have a seismology machine ( that measures the strength of earthquakes in our area, right ) and they kept the one from May 18, 1980 and have it on display behind glass in a special case they had made for it. You should see all the WILD stuff that got scribbled on that piece of paper that is attached to them machines. Incredibly unreal. Very interesting, actually!
