That was totally the vibe I got from him at the Roots store. Like his mouth was tired of smiling!
Here's my observations:
Apolo's PR agent has been very successful at putting Apolo's image out there for popular consumption. His IMAGE, i.e., his body and face, is literally an exchangeable product. It's a commodity for sale to the highest bidder.
When he's appearing in public, to some degree, he's forced to actually become his body and face, because that's what everyone is projecting onto him, and that shallows him out, know what I mean?
When he says he needs to get away from the Hollywood scene and get back to normalcy, what he's tryin' to get back to is bein' himself and not his body.
Does that make sense to anyone? Sorry so long winded...

Wow Bella did you major in anthropology? Body becomes a commodity is such an anthropological outlook. But yeah I totally understand what you're saying. It makes sense.

Can't see no image, babe... I minored in Anthropology and I know where you are coming from.... And it IS all true and it MAKES sense...but it still does not make me feel LESS sorry for the guy to a certain degree. Being a person who grew up in the middle of "La-La Land" and was caught up in a very FAST and CRAZY lifestyle ( one of MANY reason's I moved, for my health and over-all sanity vs. INSANITY )...that stuff can eat you up, literally. It starts from the inside and it moves it's way out. I know he has good people looking out for him, though, so I know it won't happen to him. But I just "know" that feeling.  Freakish and surreal, it is. |

yup yup!! you know....during like competitions i've noticed that his smile isn't like....."real"...you know...maybe 'cuz he's just tired. Aww...poor APolo!!

He looks pretty relaxed and well rested in those pictures I found of him at the Badminton competition, and that was the beginning of this month.
I understand you feelin' sorry for him for bein' so busy and sought after and all, but I say, let's not go overboard. Remember to also have some faith in our boy! Apolo can handle it. He has tremendous reserves of energy, and enough self-determinism and confidence to withstand any amount of shallowness we can toss his way. In fact, in the pictures amyurban posted of him enjoyin' the Hollywood scene, all suited up and wearin' shades, we can see that not only can he handle it, but he also knows how to work it and have some fun in the process.

I didn't say he couldn't "handle it", I was just saying that you can tell in the pics where he is ENJOYING it and when he looks like he's had enough....I prefer the one's where I can tell he's enjoying it. Make sense?

Well.....now we're just crossing fringers that he will continue ST!!! I mean he doesn't know what he's gonna do next....and if he does then he'll be like "Dude..what are you doing in LA...Hollywood...you need to go back to Colorado!!!"
LOL!!!! well i think that he'll stay in LA right up to his B-day.....i mean it's not that long....just couple more weeks!!
