OK Ruff, how did you get the "F" word through without editing. My attempt at the "F" word was edited as did Sthingy!!!! If it comes through as "sthingy" again I will throw the computer in the lake.

When he wins this, he’ll need some media training immediately. When he sings he sounds older than his years, but when he’s interviewed, he’s your typical teenEa bundle of nerves, tying to find the right word to express what he’s saying and rambling on and on in desperation. Of course, many find that extremely endearing too. (I don't agree with the poster's 'stupid things' comment above. He still has some maturing to do, as any teenager does). As for the girls, one of my favorite two left last night EAsia. I’m still shocked today. How could anyone choose Amanda or Kristy over her? The girls bore me terribly this year. Now only Ramielle holds my interest. for david a's sake i sure hope he's not all that wound up...i've noticed the 'other' kids are getting the boot and most of the remaining contestants are in their 20's. . i am VERY dissapointed that asia'h got eliminated...her voice is a bit raspy but she hit her notes...she's young, fun and someone who i've grown to enjoy (and her story is heartbreaking)...the only reason we remember amanda is for her streaked (skunk-looking) hair...carly's voice is probably the strongest out of the girls but she hasn't quite won me over yet.

Kirkland, what you have to do is put an html code in the middle of the word. Type out the word, place the cursor in the middle of it and then click on, for example, the italics button. So spo on actually looks like: spo [/i] (minus all the spaces, of course) in your message before you hit reply.
It is technically against the rules though, so I wouldn't curse unless you wanna get banned, hence why I have to post as a guest.

While some of us still have some degree of potty mouth, myself included, we still seem to get the point across even with the language editor. When it really gets frustrating is when you are not even TRYING to curse and you get this - thingy Buttons instead of Di ck Buttons- how silly, and of course sthingy instead of spo on ...but it does add something to the hilarity, if not the clarity...

Thanks for the trick Ruff. Still trying to understand why spoon gets edited to *sthingy*. Does it mean something I am unaware of? It is a dining utensil, a position to sleep in...what else???

Since it is contained in the word sp**n, it gets nuked by the language editor.

Hehehe - I quoted you awhile back and noticed the italics tags embedded in every one of your naughty words. I figured that's how you were doing it. It may be prudent for us to forget this little tidbit of knowledge... ...except, of course, when we're discussing silverware.

Has anyone else noticed all the Davids on this years Idol? I have dubbed them the rocker David, the stripper David, and the young David. It helps to distinguish who I am talking about. I think the young David should win. I know everyone is saying that, but I really think he has an awesome voice. I hope he does a more upbeat song next week though. I agree with Simon that he was starting to get depressing.

Young David needs to do something more upbeat during Beatles week - like "Come Together", "Get Back", "Twist & Shout" or "Ob-la-di". It amazes me that for someone so young, he really considers the message in the music he chooses. He's truly an old soul. Wow - very interesting read here. Makes you kinda go "hmmm" www.votefortheworst.com/americanidol7contestants

Yes, thought-provoking, Lexi, though I haven't lost faith yet! Still, I have felt it kind of odd that Michael Johns has made records. So has Luke Menard. Didn't know about Carly. And they claim Brooke opened for...mmm... I forget and I already closed the window. Some country band. THAT seems really odd, since she hasn't even been the strongest contestant so far. Not sure how true all this is, or if someone having been a model or on a TV show means they're a plant. Some of them haven't specifically sung for a living before. The only requirement to be on the show is not to have a current contract, I think. So, experience isn't necessarily bad. It's a big leap from "Michael Johns tried out in a last ditch effort to get some kind of career going" to "The producers are manipulating the American public and have put their choices into the top 24 in order to cram them down our throats." I mean, if these singers didn't do well before, why would producers, who are here to make money, purposely put failures on the show? We won't necessarily buy the albums, even of the winners (really only two of the Idol winners are successful, and maybe two others from among the top four finishers.) I think I'm rambling now... time for bed.

I've heard some rumors on other boards that David A. may be singing "And I Saw Her Standing There.." tomorrow night. If there's any truth to it, you just know that the crowd is going to go nuts.
"Well she was just 17.. you know what I mean..."
