I like to look at Luke, but not sure about his voice...the last performance was weird. His look reminds me of McDreamy. |

;D Butterfly, WOWZA at the banner! ;D I was pretty surprised at the girls' elimination last night. I thought sure Amanda-who-wants-to-be adopted by-skunks would go (I really liked her at first, but she hasn't impressed me since), and I thought the other one would be Kady, who is now the lowest-ranked survivor among the girls. I'm very disappointed that Alexandrea is gone. You know how sometimes when Ryan says some contestant is 'coming up after the break', and you get really excited to see what they're gonna pull off next? She was like that for me. I loved her personality and the trendy, youthful way she dressed. I'm sad and surprised about that one. I know Kristy Lee Cook isn't gettin' much love here, but I really like her, and think she looked quite good on Wednesday. I'm biased, though, 'cause I love the fact that she's a cowgirl/tomboy type, which won me over immediately - so I'm definitely looking through 'hay-colored' glasses at her. I don't think she'll win it, but I don't think she's weak enough to be eliminated yet, especially with Amanda still in the competition!  (And I want her to be able to buy her barrel horse back!) Ramiele and Carly are my picks as the top girls, if they stay consistent. I noticed that when Ramiele sings, she ends a lot of lines like she's mouthing the word 'up'. Did anybody else see that? Strange thing to notice, but it actually got distracting for me...  I saw something funny Wednesday on AOL. It was a link to TMZ about Robbie Carrico - they say he was wearing a wig! Apparently it was no secret to Idol execs, which may explain why Simon kept questioning whether Robbie was the 'real thing'.  www.tmz.com/2008/02/27/idol-contestant-wigs-out/ |

That's funny about the wig. I wondered what the deal was with the bandana. I figured he was bald on top but that looked like a lot of hair hangin down there.
I like Kristy Lee Cook, I don't think she will win but I like her. I hope she gets her horse back too....I bet she does. It was the other blonde that I think should have gone. Too many look alikes made it difficult for voting.

He's so easy on the eyes!  I felt bad for the girl who started crying yesterday, it made me sad.  But like Paula said, this is only the beginning.

I'm glad this thread was started, I missed most of the auditions but I've been watching since the 24 were picked. My favs right now are Carly and Brooke for the girls and for the guys are David H., David A, Michael, and Jason C. (even though I'm not crazy for the dreads). So you can see that I'm liking the guys more. The girls are good but I only really like 2 right now. Amanda I kinda liked in the beginning but now her voice really bugs me, I hope she goes next week. Oh and I can't stand that hair!
Someone mentioned Robbie wore a wig, how funny! I missed a lot of stuff on him so I had no idea, but I did wonder how he went from boy band pop singer to rocker. I can see now why Simon thought he wasn't authentic. But I did like his voice, he didn't need the wig to prove anything.

Yeah, what's the deal with the bad dye jobs in the name of being different and cool. I hate to break the news to those who sport this look, but It's neither. It look like someone got into mom's clorox ( after first dying their hair Elvira black) and then stopped abruptly after the first streak. (No doubt they were overcome by fumes and changed their minds) As for Alexandrea and Kristy Lee Cook, it just goes to show how important song choice is. You can have a wonderful, even amazing voice, but choose sucky-pissy songs- and you're toast. I really like Alexandrea, but as I said before, I absolutely detest the song she chose. Kristy did a very good job with 'Hopelessly devoted" but it really is a very sacharine song, (and don't get me wrong, I love the soundtrack to 'Grease') But if you want to have America voting for you as the next pop icon, you have to choose not only the best songs, but the best ones that show off your vocals, to get people dialing your name. My totally worthless 2 cents from someone who can't hold a tune to save her life and has a voice like a rusty hinge. (But at least I KNOW it, and don't foolishly go auditioning for these shows. Does anyone else ever wonder about these people who seriously don't know they can't sing? I mean, really, how deluded do you have to be?...) |

No, mtnme, not "totally worthless 2 cents"...fyi. Thanks you all for your assessments...I love it! I like Kristy and Ramielle too. I think that McDreamy Clone is cute! He's married, dangit. Aw well, my heart is with David A.  Lori-I did notice that "up" thing when she'd end a line! It was if she was saying "up" or "oh"?!? And what's with skunks and squirrels these days?! LOL. |

yep! I now like Jason. I'm sucha fickle girl. I thought most of the guys (not all) did a nice job tonight. There are really some beautiful voices, whether or not the song choice was the best. And jenna, I've liked Jason from the start. So humble and shy, and although I don't want my son growing dreds, I think Jason is absolutely adorable with them. He has a very pretty face with delicate bone structure, yet is still masculine. My three favorite guys are Jason, Michael and David A., though I do think David H. is quite good and David Cook is really growing on me. I'm just not a rock music person. But he is talented. Overall, I think the men are much stronger than the women. Look forward to seeing how the girls do tomorrow! |

Anyone else will be a big loss, IMO. I do like Luke... I just think his voice is too soft for a lead singer. But he'd be great in a group, like his former acapella days. The other two have the weakest voices of those left, I think. But what do I know?!? |
