Guys, I have the men's (boy's) names down but I can't keep goin' back to look up the girls. Unitl the field is narrowed, can we be a bit descrptive with their names..like, Carly Simon blonde girl and black/white rocker and tiny Asian and skinny black girl. It will be hard to distinguish the long blondes - space between her front teeth, quiet one...
oh dear, I am rambling. Hopefully tonight will resolve some of this. How many get eliminated tonight?
Lexi, I agree with you about the girls and who the best are. So far.
Am I the only one that thought the blonde singing Carly Simon was flat in the soft parts?

donny osmond with a streak
Speaking of DO, he is EVERYWHERE and I do not get why they are promoting him so much. He said on some show that they asked him to be on DWTS this year but he was too busy with ET, Insider, Family Reunion and Marie/Donne Las Vegas gig....but he might next year. Blechhh

I was quite surprised at the ladies leaving last night. America got that one totally wrong. Alaina was actually my favorite of the ladies after Ramielle. She left much too soon – she knew it and we knew it. Have no fear though that Amanda will be staying much longer regardless of what DialIdol says. I haven’t read a comment anywhere on the boards where people don’t think she hasn’t overstayed her welcome. People don’t understand how she made the Top 24. I cringe when I hear her. She’s probably the worst of the ladies I’ve seen in any season of Idol. She’s a Joplin wannabe and that’s about it.
Poor David last night. You could tell he was completely embarrassed about the waterfall. And then the camera continuously panning to him. Ugh! He and Alex knew each other from their Star Search days and have been close friends for awhile, plus they would have been taking School lessons together during the day. I think he got caught up in the moment. While I can’t blame him, I know he’s going to get scorched for it. People will think he can’t handle the pressure..yada, yada, yada. All I could think was that he’s there for the long haul and he’s going to have many, many, many more nights like that saying goodbye to all his friends. If people had doubts that he is genuine before, last night pretty much sealed that he’s the real deal. I thought it was all pretty sweet.

I LOVE MICHAEL!!!! Finally, someone I get excited about watching every week! I haven't been this excited about American Idol since Bo Bice and Chris Daughtry. Michael is the whole sexy package, and the Aussie accent is just the cherry on top. I also like all three Davids, and Jason C. and Luke.

I got home in time to see it. So, of the long haired blonde women, the wrong one got picked, she was sweet and did a good job singing considering how distraught she was. Amanda should definitely have gone. I didn't get too upset about the choices though, something Randy said stuck in my mind and puts perspective one it. I'll paraphrase "if you don't think they would have made it all the way to the top 4, don't be upset if they are voted out because in the end it doesn't matter." I think people are ready for a rocker but she ain't it. Like someone above said, she is a wanna be. The right guys got booted. It was a night of waterworks for sure and I was happy that the panel seemed to get it.
I like to look at Luke, but not sure about his voice...the last performance was weird. His look reminds me of McDreamy. Can't wait to see the real rocker guy after the stylists get a hold of him. Danny is good for comedic fodder (unlike Sanjaya). I definitely think he is gay (but who cares) and has a similar 'tude as Johnny Weir.
I'm hoping for better song choices from here on...the talent is there so I am ready to see some great performances.
The judges really like that Irish chick, I haven't decided if she has "it", she has the voice for sure. Ramielle intrigues me, I like to watch her sing. She, like David A., does not oversing.
If Ramielle and David A. ended up as the final two, he wouldn't seem so small!
