SWEET! I heard it's been already taped but it's on tonight. both Davids flew out yesterday, their day off. After the taping, they had to catch a flight back to NYC for tonight's show. I don't want to say too much here until after tonight's Teen Choice show. I might add some info after the airing, if any clarification needs to be added. I give them both a ton of credit; in spite of the rigorous schedule of touring, they fly clear across the continent, and back, on a 'day off'! ;D |

Here on the west coast, the show is on now... 8:45 here.
David Archuleta (and Dad Jeff) and David Cook have THE best seat in the house... front row, CENTER! And you can't miss Archie b/c he has bright red sneakers on and the camera can pick it out as it pans the front row... which is quite often. And when the 'rear' camera is filming, you can't miss Jeff's bright blue cap and David's yellow plaid shirt. Cook is just to the right of Archie. So they're getting a lot of camera time! Seated near them is Will Smith, also Josh Duhamel and Fergie... and Jerry O'Connell is very close to them too. Zac Ephron is in second row but over in a side section. What a night it must've been for Archie and Cook!!! ;D

The fans over at FanBlast wrote to Teen Choice, asking if Archie could be nominated for an award. After which, Teen Choice created a category for David... *most fanatic fans*! Then the fans went on a huge voting drive and David won! Cook also won in his category! ;D ;D But, b/c of time constraints their surfboard awards were given to them off camera. However, both Cook and Archie got camera close-ups... nice!  During the opening credits, "David Archuleta" was the first name to grace the screen... (being alphabetical, of course)... great exposure for these 2 talented 'Idols'! Almost forgot... Cook and Archie presented the award for *Best Female Singer*... which went to Miley Cyrus. The short banter between the Davids was cute... and Cook cracks up laughing when Archie says, "...whatever!"  |

Fan, thanks you SO much for the Karma and to everyone, thank you for your comments around my review. My friend and I can't afford tickets to the show... but do you think it's worth going to the venue (45 minutes away in Worcester, MA) when the buses arrive in hopes of seeing David A. (and, for my friend, Michael)? So sorry I’m late replying, Linmiste. Perhaps your concert has passed since I’ve last been on. If not, I’d definitely encourage you to go to the signings. IMO, you’ll likely have better luck seeing them after the concert than prior. Some of them trade off on meeting with the press prior to the concert and so it’s the luck of the draw as to who will come out. It appears that almost all of them show after the concert. Of course, Cook was the only one who didn’t show after my concert, but – I choose to believe it wasn’t a snub, but rather that he had had press commitments for his first time in Canada or got delayed at the meet and greet. If you’re an Archie fan, he seems to be the one usually at both and one of the first to arrive and last to leave. He’s absolutely, positively, unbelievably amazing with his fans. I cannot stress that enough having personally seen him in action. I had just come back from Buffalo, NY the day of the concert and debated whether to go to meet them prior to or after the concert. I was too tired to go before and boy was that the right call because it was Archie's day to do press prior to the concert. I somehow always get lucky that way! Great review Lexi, I really enjoyed it. It will be fun to watch these careers unfold. Do you think Michael Johns has a career ahead? Thanks Kirkland. I do think Michael Johns has a career ahead, but he is most definitely upstaged by the two Davids. I think he'll have a better chance once he leaves Idol behind. He's immensely talented, but there is obviously something that prevents the audience from connecting with him as they do Archie and Cook. I can’t put my finger on it. Perhaps its simply that he gets lost among the others who were voted off earlier or that when you see him, he appears so much older than the others. I have to admit my first impression after seeing Michael on AI during Hollywood week (well after screeching “He’s hot”) was he belongs on RockStar and not Idol. Maybe he’s in the wrong competition? JMHO. Still, I love him and he remains my favorite after Archie. I like David Cook but I wonder what's up with his rude behavior. That just doesn't sound like him. I haven't visited his fan site lately so I have no idea what's going on. Maybe he's exhausted, or worrying about his brother, or missing his girlfriend?? I hope he gets back to his sweet self before he turns off a lot of fans.  Hi Butterfly – I wish I could have better explained what I thought was a change in Cook’s demeanor. Maybe this is who he is. I don’t know. I probably wouldn’t even have said anything other than I wasn’t the first to comment on it while hanging out waiting in the autography lineup afterwards. Everyone’s entitled to an off night and I’m sure the pressure on him is immense and the rigors of the tour, the publicity and life on the road are starting to ware him down. I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. I’m almost overwhelmed by all the Archie news and love the past few days. I LOVE his song Crush. I’m so excited that its beat out Usher, the Jonas Brothers and NKOTB in Battle of the Song contests right across the US and Canada after just a few days in circulation. I have no doubt in my mind that he is going to be the next big thing. Did everyone see the pics from the new Archie photoshoot online today? Did everyone see the pics from the new Archie photoshoot online today? Here’s a quick glimpse of two of my favorites:
I think we can safely add modeling to his list of talents. Yep... I agree... about the modeling... and he claims he isn't photogenic... LOLOL! I saw the pics early this morning... WOW!!! I like several but haven't picked out a 'favorite' yet... I did 'rate' some of them. I just didn't have time to rate all of them today... so many good ones! ;D Some fans saw them last night and have been posting like 'crazy' on FanBlast.com, fansofdavid.com., David's My Space, etc... There's some serious 'crushin' going on there... LOL..! Lexi - I like your second choice... in fact that batch (wearing the black/white/red sweat cardigan) has many that I liked. Plus, blue is a really good color on David. Number1 - David's eyes are 'more hazel' than Apolo's... your fav photo shows that so well!  |

I have a gorgeous picture of David passing my signed pic back to me, but for the life of me, I can't find the 'properties' to get the URL to post here (or whatever you call it). That video was priceless! I did rewind and watch it several times, just as the poster said we would. I laughed right along with David... LOL..!  I just had to go watch it again... it's such a feel-good video... David's laugh is so infectious! I'm glad David's song has started off with a bang and that he's having the time of his (young) life! I wish him lots of luck with ticket sales... Cook too!
