On my TiVo info guide about tomorrow night's DWTS episode: nothing about Mel/Maks; nothing about Mario/A Chorus Line; nothing about it being the 100th episode; nothing about Rascal Flatts; nothing about 'one couple gets eliminated'. You wanna know what it says?... " Apolo Anton Ohno and Julianne Hough perform"...

I'm figuring that if the judges are counting down their 10 favorite dances, and they're in season 6 now, that's two dances from each of the first 5 seasons. I've been quietly amusing myself by trying to decide which dances from season 4 will make the cut. You know they will have 1 from A/J and 1 from Joey & Kim. I think Joey's will be the Jive (which was fantastic). But I can't decide if it will be the Samba or the Paso from A/J. Also, can't rule out the Rumba as it was a crowd favorite.
What do you think?

Samba, hands down!
And I'm thinking that he and Julianne's dance (whichever one) will obviously be in the top 3 and so will one of Max and Mel's, hence the two pairs dancing new routines?! Hmmm...just my little guess. ?? If not they darn well should be in the top 3!

Don't want to spoil those who have not seen DWTS yet tonight so I'll just say that I agreed with Carrie Ann about Kristi & Mark's second dance.
I tried my best to spot Apolo in the audience but if he was there, I missed it. Can't wait for tomorrow night.

I can't say. The judge's clearly liked both the Samba and Paso but I'm going to say more likely the Samba, just because of the way he said his comments (about the music and choreography and performance all come together).

I was a little shocked and disappointed last night.
FIrst, I though Cristian did an amazing job, and that all of the credit goes to Cheryl Burke for the choreography that really allowed him to look his best under the circumstances. (well, some of the credit may also go to some pain killers). I was very nervous watching them and really hoped that he'd be okay.
I can say the same thing about his 2 dances: They were basic. Basic in that he pretty much stood and did alot of posturing, allowing her to do all of the work and make them look good. THe degree of difficulty was something we would have seen in the first few weeks, but didn't measure up to what we should see now.
Having said that, I thought the judges totally went for a sympathy vote by putting them in first place. I thought they rewarded the effort, the heart and the choreography, but again, but totally overlooked the complexity (or lack thereof).
He basically just provided the background for Cheryl. They certainly weren't knocked down because of the basic nature of the dance, and they should have been. They caught a huge break from the judges.
This morning on Good Morning AMerica, in their "around the water cooler" discussion, Chris Cuomo demonstrated how easy it was to do the last lift that Cristian did in their 2nd dance. Basically the male is acting as a solid structure for the female dancer to jump onto. It's a testament to the female being able to kick herself up into position and hold it. SUre enough, someone on staff at GMA with a dancing background came on stage, Chris assumed the position and she hopped up into the position that Cheryl had, holding onto Chris. It was so easy for Chris that he actually walked around the stage a bit with her hanging onto him in that hold. I don't mean to suggest in any way the GMA was dissing Cristian, because they weren.t But the point I'm trying to make is that Cheryl was definitely the person behind the dance, the one doing all the work. As far as the celebrity doing difficult moves, it wasn't happenin'....

Great observations, AAOsmts19. Although I was impressed overall with Cristian's dances, there were some times when I thought his left arm was just hanging there, and if the judges hadn't known he was injured, they would have commented on that. Kudos to Cheryl, though, for the creative choreography. Speaking of which, the reason I didn't love Kristi's samba was the choreography. In that department, Mark is hit or miss for me. I loved the umbrella waltz (I think?) but I didn't care for the samba. Kristi danced it well, but I seem to remember a lot of stomping and shaking hands in the air. I really hope she's not in the bottom two; she deserves a place in the finals. I also have to say that I thought Jason did more dancing and less posing this week, though Edyta's use of the lifts seemed pretty gratuitous to me. I liked Mario, too. He has such a good attitude, and was very refined in his ballroom dance. I liked his jive. I don't know much about the technique, but I thought the choreography was great. I don't always enjoy the jive style. Marissa is sweet, but I think it's her turn to go.

I really liked everyone's dances last night. But I think Marissa might be going home tonight, and maybe Cristian next week. Cristian's dances were good, but I was surprised at the 10s he got from the judges. I'm so excited about seeing Apolo tonight! It'll be great to see him and Julianne dance together again. ;D I have to record the 8:00 show because I can't miss Idol, but I'll definitely be watching the live show at 9:00.

I have tried everything I know to get Ken to let me watch at 8 but to no avail which means I miss some of it.i am still confused though is Apolo dancing in the 8 or 9 show.Someone help clear that up for me. I'm confused too, when does he dance? I'm going to be gone tonight but I'll be recording it. Cristian did ok for being injured but I think his scores were a little too high, in the samba his arm did look strange just hanging there. Yeah it was definitely a sympathy vote, IMO. I was sad for Kristi and Mark not doing as well as they have been but even the greatest dancer has their off days. I hope her fans voted like crazy for her, she definitely deserves to be in the finals. I don't have a lot to say about everyone else, everyone was just ok to me, although the lifts were fun to see. I think this will be Marissa's night to go, at least I hope so. Can't wait to see Apolo dance!! aofreak, love your siggie!
