I had a good friend in high school (many long years ago  ) who was half Japanese and half white. She and her brother were beautiful people, just like Apolo is. Must be a great mix.  |

Everybody is beautiful, whether your mixed or not. I'm not mixed and I'm a hottie! ;D ;D ;D ;D Oh and by the way, Tyson (oh so fine) Beckford is only 1/4 Asian, not half. His grandmother is Chinese. But nevertheless, he is a hottie as well |

Yes, crimsonangel everyone is beautiful. I just thought that I would point out that the asian gene seems to add a little something special and perhaps I truly am biased because I adore Apolo. I agree I think there are plenty of beautiful people out there in the world who are of all ethnicities. But since we were talking about Apolo...
Also, thanks for the clarification about Tyson Beckford. Whatever the percentage it's still there and you are right he is still a hottie!

hey...today i was picking my son up from a school activity..and a white girl and 1/2 japanese guy came out of the building with a little boy and he looked just like that toddler pic of apolo and his dad....not that it has anything to do with anything..just happened..

also...the parents were both dark haired and the adorable little boy had really nice lite brown hair

They say that about every gene brooke, whether your mixed with black, Asian, Native American, Latino, whatever. Even some white groups like French or Hungarian  Apolo is a hottie because he is a hottie now. But the pics as a kid, I would had never thought he would had grew up to be this good-looking |

Here's a quote I got off the AAO website in which Apolo talks about his trip to Japan after the 2002 Olympics:
One of the most memorable experiences since the Olympics has been to visit my Grandparents in Japan. To finally be able to see my father's homeland and really experience the culture that he and my grandparents grew up with, was an amazing time. I saw the fashion of Japan, the Old Japan which is incredibly pretty. When I left the country I felt like a new young person! I felt totally refreshed and replenished. Since the Olympics there has been countless memories and great times, but to spend time with my family in a setting that is so serene and peaceful was awesome in its own aspect.

Yes bella, that's a great quote! That's what I am happy about, the fact that he is proud of his heritage, moreso what he is mixed with.
