I don't think she's won a race (i.e. a final race), but she broke i think American records on some of the distances. And i've heard that she was third ranked short tracker....i don't think it was this season probably an old one. But, she's pretty good hopefully she can win some medals!!

I agree with Lauramj, she does come across as flat in her interviews, but I think she's just a little nervous. She doesn't quite have the comfort level that Apolo has with the media, that's all. I don't think she's unattractive. She's just very ambitious and analytical. If they truly are a couple, I think they balance each other out nicely. And I think it's good if they are a couple that they are keeping it quiet so as not to let the media interfere. There are enough things along the way to derail even the best of relationships without the added burden of the spotlight. Not to mention, between an intense training schedule, school and work, I can't imagine either of them has very much time to spend together as a couple.

Hey all!. The article didn't say that Apolo said the relationship wasn't serious, it said that his father said that it's not serious. He said that Apolo told him not to worry about it...
That doesn't mean that it's not serious, Apolo probably meant that his relationship would not affect his performance, so therefore Dad has no need to worry about it.
The fact of the matter is that they have been together for what, 2 years??? I mean she goes to school in NY and she is doing her thing...we don't know anything about those two, all we know is that he has been dating her for 2 years...and he dated someone else for a long time before her...so who knows who he will be dating in 4 years...he's only 23 years old....

yes, ppl. btw, thank u 4 d article brooke. It is very true. HIS DAD was d 1 who mentioned d relationship not being serious. meaning, thats what HIS DAD wishes. many, many times we do things that do not please our parents. but hey, he does what he wants ultimately. i do acknowledge d fact that he doesnt have her back. I just stays put and says nothing. I wouldnt like no matter who my boytoy is. that sort of treatment hurts. as if he doesnt care.id understand & b supportive about his goals and training, but, please dont dismisses me or treat me like u dont care. id want 4 him 2 let me know that he cares. that i mean something 2 him. otherwise why b w/ me. i feel very sad 4 allison. i guess she must really love him. either that or shes just not ready 2 let go. i totally understand apolo's love and respect 4 his father but, he needs 2 stand up a little bit more 4 what he really wants, to b more exact, 2 stand strong 4 that person he loves, if he really loves her. just think about it. how would it feel like if she were u and u were dissmissed d way shes being 4gotten?

I still don't think that they will be together that long if Apolo leaves the OTC. I guess that I interpret them to not be serious because although they have been together for two years he is listed as single in cosmo. You can assume that means marital status however, it could have just as easily said: Romantic Status-has been dating fellow short track speedskater, Allison Baver for the last two years. But it doesn't it says single. To me that means that he is leaving his options open.

Or maybe Cosmo does what a lot of magazines do and put there own words in there...it happens all the time, Eva Longoria was on Extra and Access defending Tony about something he said that appeared and was misintrepreted wrong, and they printed it. So everything you read is not always exact.
As far as Apolo's love for Allison, we don't know or how he feels about her, I mean they printed in an article about how he touched her hand as he was going away from the press table at Torino, I think I saw them on the stationary bike warming up before his race, saw that on NBC...and I believed that she was the first person he hugged, BEFORE he hugged the female coach after his 500m race...so there is some relationship there...
The truth is, we don't know anything about Apolo in that regard, all we know is that he is dating Allison, period. And we don't know how close he is to his father, he may not talk about stuff like that to his father, regardless of what his dad said in that articl

And I totally agree with Elle...plenty of times we don't do what our parents want in terms of relationship issues. Case in point, Tiger Woods mother wanted him to marry a Thai girl, and we all know how that turned out! So to each his own, again I still stand by the fact that he is only 23 years old, things can change or stay the same, but we will not know until it either happens (things changing) or time passes (things stayed the same)
