Apolo would not be shallow if he dated someone beautiful (my personal opinion is that Allison is very pretty) but the fact that he has not chosen someone who is drop-dead gorgeous says to me that he is not dating someone only for their looks (not that he would be if he was dating someone who was drop-dead gorgeous, but you know what I mean). I already think a lot of Apolo's character but his choice of a girlfriend makes me appreciate him even more. I am also a member of an Elijah Wood forum (I am a huge Lord of the Rings fan). Some of Elijah's fans don't like his choice of girlfriend either. I truly feel badly for girls that date celebrities. There will always be fangirls out there who don't like them and even hate them. But hopefully the celebrities like Apolo and Elijah make their choice of girlfriend based on who they love and care about, not what some of their fans may think. As I have said before, we don't "own" Apolo, even if we are his fans. He has a right to make his own decisions, including who to date, whether we like it or not. Just my own opinion, please don't flame me. (Please!) For those of you who disagree with me, I respect your opinion and I am sure you will respect mine.  I'm not flaming you, just hoping people aren't taking me the wrong way. I never meant to say if Apolo dated a beautiful person was to make him shallow, only if he dumped Allison so he could start to swoon the glamour girls of hollywood I would find it shallow for his character, and do to the fact that he does possess a strong, descent character, I don't see him dumping Allison unless the sparks weren't there anymore, not because he thought he could find someone prettier. |

Oh, Warhorse, I am sorry I was not more clear. I did not think you or anyone else was flaming me...I just didn't want to start getting flamed. Anyway, from what I understand from your posts, I think we are on the same page as far as Allison is concerned. I agree completely with what you had said earlier and was actually trying to reenforce what you said, though I see that I was not real clear. I also agree with Lauramj, this is a fun, friendly board and hopefully no one will get angry at each other for having a differernt opinion. I guess when all said and done, Apolo's opinion is the only one that truly counts when it comes to to who he dates.  |

Hey dudes, i think that as fans we should respect his personal life. It is not any of our business who he decides to date and who does he not. Anyways, it doesn't matter who he dates or not. Its not like all his fans are gonna stop looking for his info. on the net just because of who he's with. in the other had, we, as loyal fans, should respect his personal life as well as support him in all his decision makings. He seems to be a big boy that could take care of himself. Take into consideration that he is a person and has feelings, and so does she. How would you think he'd feel after reading all the negative feed back on the girl he dates? You never know, he might read or someone he knows might. Lets just be happy that he is happy. Thats all that should matter. That and that he keeps making us proud. P.S. She looks to be a lovely girl  |
