Does Apolo have a girlfriend?

My brother thinks Apolo's girlfriend is really average too!! I agree she's not ugly though!! But even if he did dump her and start going out with Sasha Cohen or Michelle Kwan that would not make him shallow!! That wouldn't make any sense going out with girls who are much more beautiful then Allison doesn't make him shallow. It just means he has good taste. So hopefully he will date me. lol yay

When you are having a relationship with someone for 2 years, then all of a sudden drop them like a bad habbit to go out with the more popular person, (like the head cheerleaders do with the head football players) it makes then shallow!

Apolo would not be shallow if he dated someone beautiful (my personal opinion is that Allison is very pretty) but the fact that he has not chosen someone who is drop-dead gorgeous says to me that he is not dating someone only for their looks (not that he would be if he was dating someone who was drop-dead gorgeous, but you know what I mean). I already think a lot of Apolo's character but his choice of a girlfriend makes me appreciate him even more.

I am also a member of an Elijah Wood forum (I am a huge Lord of the Rings fan). Some of Elijah's fans don't like his choice of girlfriend either. I truly feel badly for girls that date celebrities. There will always be fangirls out there who don't like them and even hate them. But hopefully the celebrities like Apolo and Elijah make their choice of girlfriend based on who they love and care about, not what some of their fans may think. As I have said before, we don't "own" Apolo, even if we are his fans. He has a right to make his own decisions, including who to date, whether we like it or not.

Just my own opinion, please don't flame me. (Please!) For those of you who disagree with me, I respect your opinion and I am sure you will respect mine.

Rose1966, i totally agree with you. no one owns apolo and he's not going to make choices and decisions based on what his fans think. he's going to do what he thinks and believes is right. :] hahah. i think a lot of us like to believe that someday apolo will find us and sweep us off our feet, but not to be mean or anything...but haha. come on, reality check... :] maybe i just dont think allison is that fantastic because i haven't seen any GOOD pictures of her. ive only seen some rather bad ones.

Thanks so much for your honest and positive comment Bananasmoothiees. I know we have not seen any great pictures of Allison, but I honestly think she is cute. I also honestly think that even if she were as homely as can be, if Apolo loves her, that is all that matters.

(I honestly don't mind if people disagree with me...just don't like debates when they get ugly such as when people attack the person instead of disagreeing with the opinion)

i got to agree with Bananasmoothies...there aren't any good pics of Allison!! She should do like a photshoot for a magazine or an endorsement for a company. LOL!! i don't think we should judge her quickly because of some bad pics. "Picture is worth a thousand words"!!

I hope this doesn't sound wrong cause I'm not trying to be, because I'm Asian myself. But, do you think Allison would still be interested in him if he looked more Japanese? (just a question from personal experience)

^That's an interesting question. I'm not asian but I think he looks more asian than not (if that makes sense) and I think he's quite attractive. I think you'd have to know her to decide one way or the other because everybody's different.

I honestly don't think they look that great together, but hey that's just my opinion. I do want him to be happy though. And as far as the asian thing goes, who cares? His personality is what really makes you fall in love with him, his hotness is just a bonus!!

I have quite a few white friends who are dating Asians, and what I would say from vieiwing them is that it's not really so much the way you look that could cause difficulties. Cultural differences are really what make or break an *interracial* relationship. Even though Apolo has a traditional Japanese father, he was born and raised in the U.S. He's American in culture, and so is she. I don't see why the way he looks would make a difference -- but if he was raised in a strict Japanese culture, I imagine it would be different.

I think if you met someone who lit up your world, made you laugh harder, and enjoyed the same activities, movies and interests as you did, you start to get an attraction that is very strong. This chemistry is what will stand the test of time, not the culture a person is, or how they look. To be honest, even if Apolo was still a little on the chunkie side, his drive to dominate his sport like no other American, and his down to earth personality, I would still be a fan. I know this is a bit off topic, but the only actor I cried for when he died was Chris Farley, because I totally enjoyed and loved his skits on SNL and the movies he did, and I could care less that he was obese. He just had a certain charisma that is noticeable.

Also, my opinion on Allison liking Apolo if he took after a more stronger Japanese structure is a strange question to ask. But I guess if John Lennon and Yoko Ono could cross the culture boundaries, I don't see why Allison and Apolo wouldn't have!
