He sounds complacent there. I hate having to read things into 2 freaking quotes, I wish we had video of the interviews. Although, that's obviously going to be waaaay too tall of an order for these fools.
I'm with you Lori. Let's get crackin' already!

What a sweet article, skaterwaltz. I had thought it was a heart condition. But no, it was a bad massage. Ouch. I feel really bad for her. Something that could have been prevented, but not foreseen. I'm really proud of Allison for continuing her Olympic journey. May next season be better for her! And I hope that massage therapist got straightened out.... Thanks, aao, for the video links and the canadian article. Hamelin is cute (Apolo would just have stolen the lead back anyway ) and I'm really proud of Kalyna for medaling in such a tough final. Cheering on Jeff, Ryan, Apolo, Katherine, and Allison tonight!

I feel like BIll Murray in Groundhog day... I'm watching Koreans tap a maple tree for sugaring, and not understanding a thing they are saying. wwitv.com/tv_channels/7653.htmGroundhog day! Boy, ain't that the truth. No more Korean soap operas - I better see some skating tonight!

I was thinking about the massage...And John Schaefer, who has been her trainer in the past (not sure if he is now). Massage is a way of the world for the skaters and I'm sure whoever was working on her probably part of her team. I don't think it was the type that I would have..."aromatheraphy, soft cancles, relaxing muscles". They're accusomted to ice baths, massages and it wouldn't surprise me if it was even part of the training staff that was involved. So I'm thinking, and actually hoping, that it was a fluke...no negligence, not able to be foreseen, and just a freakish incident.
Hopefully.....

I see stray dogs wandering on one channel (and I hope nothing horrible is going to happen to them) and they're cooking something awful on another...such a mystery.

I'm so glad to hear that the pain and the negative after effects are subsiding for her. And I bet they are so relieved to find out what was causing the mysterious symptoms.

It will be interesting to see if we all huddle together in 2 weeksn when the races are broadcast. How pathetic are we? We know the end results, endured 3 nights of late-night Korean TV....and surely alot of us will make time to watch the races.
Maybe we should start a new thread for watching those......"ISU World Championships REvised....The Way Life Should Be"

Well that's encouraging because watching these Korean commercials gets old fast. I'm just glad for the good company! I spent the whole day refereeing an indoor field hockey tournement and it feels great to sit down for a while.

In SLC (both times) there were schedule changes for start times on some days. It must be typical.

That's right Lori... it was a mystery to everyone what the heck the schedule was..including poor Allison who missed her heat.
