Okay, I'll try some? :
Who inspires or motivates you?
What are the top 5 songs you have on you iPod (or whatever) right now?
What is the most difficult aspect of training for speedskating? What is the most rewarding? (probably winning though, right? LoL!)

For those of you who would like one, I'm getting some embroidered patches made for The Rocker Fund to attach to the below jacket to wear at the events for those who would like to show their support of the skaters. If you would like to have a patch, please pm me. In the meantime, you can go to the below website and order a jacket in your size in the 'Sky' color. (It's actually more of a gray blue than the picture) I bought one, and it is just the most warm, cozy, unbelievably soft jacket that would be perfect for the oval. It is somewhat tailored, so it fits nicely too. These jackets have limited supplies, so if you want one, you should probably jump on it. Price- a whopping $29.95 Can't beat that! EDIT: I'm going to make them an iron on, but given the nap of the jacket is similar to chenille, I doubt it will iron on wellPlease plan on whip stitching the patch a tad to get it to stay put. Close up www.sierratradingpost.com/i/1142J,04,_Black-Diamond-Sportswear-Super-Soft-Fleece-Jacket-For-Women.html Specs and order info. www.sierratradingpost.com/p/,1142J_Black-Diamond-Sportswear-Super-Soft-Fleece-Jacket-For-Women.html I love the patch! It will look great on my soft and cozy fleece jacket. Yes I ordered one from Sierra Trading Post. So one of these days I will be there and I have the jacket.

I got my patch, too! I love it and will buy a fleece jacket or one of the LL Bean jackets and sew it on. Thank you!

You can now purchase a sweatshirt to be part of the 'sea of green' that's 'ROOTIN FOR REUTTER' .Below are forms (right click, save, -to your computer- and then print) if you would like one of these for Nationals in a few weeks - or just to wear around town. (Sorry for the tight schedule....my bad....) Even if you don't want a sweatshirt, you can still support Katherine's 'cause'. Print out the second form, and send your donation care of Katherine's parents.

. Hi Everyone, I'm testing some software for leaving comments on The Rocker Fund. I could use a little help in figuring out what it can and can't do. Go to: therockerfund.org/then click on the News and Info tab. Scroll down to 'Post a Comment' and click on it. Specifically I need to know.... 1) Do you just see the words 'Leave a comment' only above the comment box? 2) or can you see the words 'Controls' and (Powered by JS-kit)? 3) On the test box I posted, can you see just a box that says 'Reply' 4) or can you see another box next to it that says 'Moderate' too. (I'm trying to tell what a visitor sees when they come to the site as opposed to what the Administrator sees ....or if this software is going to work the way I think it will.) Please feel free to leave a comment. (But be kind until I can figure out what can be deleted! Remember, this is something the skaters can see.) You can pm me with the answers to my questions instead of filling up the forum with my test results! LOL Thanks!

Comments are now enabled on The Rocker Fund Site. You can even create a profile with an avi much the same way as you do here. I'm trying this out to see what works and what doesn't, so bear with me, but I'm hoping this is a way for you to leave well wishes for the skaters. All comments are in one area for the whole site for the time being as there hasn't been much need for this in the past (It was more like it turned into a personal mission to find software that would work - or more accurately, that I could figure out! - since it has given me fits since the site was started. ....Gee, it only took me 10 months to conquer it!)

Here's a Reason to Help our Skaters:
Home Depot has discontinued their sponsorship for part-time employees. It has take a 4 million dollar bite out of the company over the last 4 years.

Here's an article from Denver, Colorado about Home Depot.
DENVER -- The days of walking into Home Depot and having an Olympic gold medallist help you pick out paint could be coming to an end.
The store said yesterday it was ending its multimillion-dollar sponsorship deal with the U.S. Olympic Committee and discontinuing a program that offered jobs and benefits to American athletes.
The 86 athletes currently in the program will be offered traditional part-time jobs at their current stores, or the chance to interview for full-time jobs. But after March 2, they will no longer receive either full-time benefits or full-time pay for their part-time work, which they performed on flexible schedules depending on their Olympic regimens.
For athletes like Brock Kreitzburg, a 2006 Olympic bobsledder who is trying to overcome an injury and make the 2010 team, the prospect of looking for new work is a major hurdle.
"But I can't be mad at Home Depot," Kreitzburg said. "They've been amazing to me. If not for that job, I wouldn't have made the 2006 Games."
To make up for the financial loss, the USOC plans to provide stipends to winter athletes who are in the program through January 2010 and a one-time, $5,000 US stipend to summer athletes. It will also provide health insurance that the athletes might lose if they scale back or quit their Home Depot jobs.

Hard times have hit yet another company. That is a real shame. I'm glad that USOC has stepped in with health insurance and a stipend. Hopefully, it will at least get our athletes through to Vancouver.
