Oh cool. There's still hope that he's not doing that supid show. It'd be so stupid for him to do that show. Where's Allison's good advice when you need it? Sh!t

I'm not holding my breath. It can't be true. It's just a gossip monger doin' what she does best... Gossip. I don't think she was being serious. She's talking about Elvis in the very same breath.
I vote that it's just a rumor.
The only reality tv I want to see Apolo on is Mr. Rogers!
'sup, Andrew, yo, yo...

I hope it's not true...DWTS is way too cheesy of a show for AAO to be on...stick to skating Apolo! I'd rather see him on The Amazing Race (he said he'd like to do that show.) No tight tight pants, wide open shirts, sequins, ruffled shirts *shudder*...it's looks so *coughgaycough* I admit, I watched the show last season...lol but it's not the best reality show ever. I'll wastch if he's on it, but...*puts head in hands* I'd rather have him skating! Couldn't agree more with seeing him on The Amazing Race. That would be so incredible. And the way he's always talkin' 'bout life bein' a journey, he'd be a natural.

excuse me for bursting anyone's bubble but, I dislike the idea of Apolo being in any reality program. This sucks. In my opinion, people that appear in reality programs are sorta desperate for fame. ok...... maybe not so desperate but, they do want it no matter what. I very much dislike this kind of programs. They suck. All I see in those shows are "has-beens". He's not a "has-been". He's this atheletic dude. Wot the hell. It's so funny. I could believe it when I read it. Crap...... wot is he doing? anyways, that was a nice chat. I agree, Elle. These shows are for D-list has-beens desperately trying to hold onto 15 more minutes of fame. Apolo is a gold medal winning Olympian- he's much too classy for this. Apolo should trust his first instincts and avoid this show like the plague. Hopefully this is just a rumor that has gotten out of control.

I do agree with that statement...the show seems to be for has-beens who need to make some $$$ and get their name out again in hopes of getting work. But whose to say it couldn't be the other way around and be for a few who need a break into showbiz? Pardon me while I ramble a little & "think out loud" so to speak...Apolo is not quite a "celebrity"...IMO. He's had some fame, yes, but I personally would not call him a "celebrity." He's not someone most everyone knows, or has even heard of. How often do you hear about him in the press when it's not an olympic year?? IMO, he's not all that well known outside the olympic/short track world & the majority of people I've mentioned his name to have no idea who he is. If Hollywood is still something he wants to pursue, then he needs exposure so people know who the h ell he is. Why DWTS? Who knows? I'll admit it, my reason for wanting to see him do it are truly selfish!

Yes, Apolo's name only gets into the public eye around Olympic time, and DWTS would gain him more exposure, but then again, DWTS only lasts a few months...and what if Apolo gets voted off right away, or a couple weeks into the show...then what? people forget and he's back to square one...blah.

He is a star in the eyes of his fans that will never, never stop loving, supporting and following him everry time and every where he choses to go. If anything he should be reading from this forum is this thread. He would be brilliant in the ice once again. It is not that his fans dont think of him as a great public person. It is just that, imo, he should always stick to wot he knows best to do and that's speed skating and chillaxing with AB. So dude, Stick to those things. Perhaps, he could sorta produce a reality show about the life of olympic athletes. This way, fans, could gain more knowledge on the sport that he so much wants to be known of around the globe. I dont think he should appear on it much though. That would be going back to square one. But at least enough for fans to drool over his fine physique for a few more years to come.

More rumors spreading: www.bakachannel.com/baka/?p=31Here's what the link says: Breaking News: Apolo Ohno to Be on Dancing With The Stars Filed Under Misc | Okay, so this is breaking news…which breaks the only 2 rules of my blog: 1) Post Once a day, and 2) Videos only. However, Apolo IS part Japanese, and we ARE talking about a television show…. Let’s just count this as this week’s Miscellaneous section (usually on Fridays). My good friend and onymous tipper (is that a word?) has informed me Apolo Ohno has agreed to join the cast in this year’s Dancing With The Stars. Other confirmed cast members include: Laila Ali - Muhammed Ali’s daughter Joey Fatone - former NSYNC member Ian Ziering - of 90210 The Show starts March 19. Oh, and Apolo, you will get my vote if you get Cheryl Burke.

Yeah, I agree and that crossed my mind too - if he were to be booted off in the first week or two, he may have accomplished nothing other than possibly embarassing himself. Eeek!! But then again, I guess there's always the possibility that he could go to the finals and who knows what that could lead to. What if this, what if that...we could "what if" it to death. He seems to be a man of many talents. I can't even wager a guess as to if dancing is one of them. Ha!! But, he won't be able to skate forever no matter how much everyone wants that. I'm not saying dancing is his future...LOL...just that he obviously has other ambitions in life other than skating and apparently, one of them is Hollyweird!

On that page, if you click the link of their "good friend/ anonymous tipper," it takes you to that persons blog, who in turn claims they heard it "straight from the horses mouth." Here's the link to th anonymous tipper: www.xanga.com/cheezykiwiOhh, and here is a picture of herself w/ Apolo & Allison.

Is that Alison on the left hand side of that photo?
CheesyKiwi sounds like a fun gal. Her top three favorite activities, "eating, sleeping and watching TV" prove she is not only diverse, but well rounded as well. *rolls eyes*
These are the times you wish Apolo had himself a top notch PR person watchin' out for his *image* at all times and controlling the release of information related to him.
Still rumor as far as I'm concerned...
