WOOHOO! We just watched Sam's vid tape of the men's relay!   He DID capture Apolo's jubilant 360 degree turn! It was smokin' HOT! It happens so fast... we'd like to see in slo-mo... but first, Sam is going to make a copy of it to preserve the filming. He doesn't want to accidently erase it.

Hahaha... y'all are TOO funny!I told Sam that I had to post right away when we viewed it! Now I'll go tell him the ruckus it caused... LOL Just teasing y'all... Wildfire --- we miss you and your dad too... please give him our very best regards. I haven't even begun to upload any of my SLC pics yet... so much to do, so little time and too many photos! LOL! You had asked if I caught the pic of you with Apolo... I'm so sorry I didn't b/c he turned away just as I snapped the pic. I did get you tho. I have a little 'penguin' sitting here, reminding me of you everyday!

I can't wait to see the video, I missed Apolo's happy dance as I was too busy with the camera myself. On another note, if any of you wants to see pictures and read about the rest of our adventures in Vancouver other than the ST event, it's on the 'Where do you live, where have you been' thread in the UnApolo section. For those of you who would like to see what you (mercifully) missed by not doing the 'Grouse Grind'.  |

Thanks for posting that video Gasp. It was made by a Canadian friend of mine, George, who is also a speed skater and who I met at the Canadian summer camp press day. He sent it to me so that I could share it but you are a good researcher and found it right away. He also admires Apolo describing him as standing apart from so many excellent speed skaters because "he also has fire to win"! I didn't notice that he caught the spin in the air after the win but you do see Apolo's winning pass near the end.

Musicalmom--this is the same video you posted yesterday, correct? The one taken by your friend that sat with you on the end of our row? The one you told us about at dinner? I think I have it straight---so many videos and pictures---what a nice problem to have---  |
