Karma to you aaosmts19 and number1fan ! I goofed..thought I was on page 1 and it was page 4..finally took a break from SYTYCD and read the previous pages. I should have known someone would cover this...I"ll also check the listings the rest of the week to see if it gets shown here afterall. Loved the winning outfit...and agree, the Canadian outfits ( designed by the Hudson's Bay) look like pajamas and ugly ones at that. They should have stuck with Roots! It looks like every country shown was at the mercy of sponsors! Thanks everyone for all the reports. MM ;D

It was so great seeing Apolo on tv again. His participation and judging was very thoughtful and focused -- and diplomatic. Wish he was on more, too. He just has a way of elevating any program he's on to a new level. I wish they would have had some male models and outfits to judge so that Apolo could relate even more to the concepts. I was hoping they were actually designing prototypes for the 2010 Winter Olympics and some of the winning designs could possibly be incorporated into the official Olympic USA uniforms. Oh well, nobody asked me. hee hee! I have to say, I thought some of the designs were just so far-fetched and crazy until I saw the real outfits that aao19 posted from boston.com! They weren't so bad after all (well, except the one with the vintage 70s-looking floppy hat)! I really liked the interview number1 posted with him, too. I especially liked when the interviewer asked him "If you could see one trend in the opening ceremony ensembles go, what would it be?" and Apolo replied: "Giving the athletes a chance to be modern with the choices, sexy, powerful.......these athletes have amazing sculptured bodies and laser-focused eyes to match..."
Hey, Apolo - you just described yourself and probably didn't even realize it! Yep, it was so great to see Apolo on tv again.

Apolo was awesome in this episode. Thoughtful, intelligent commentary. And we got to see him rollerblade!

I thought that Apolo did a great job. His comments were constructive. I thought that the other judges were really listening to his opinions, and taking them into account (something that they don't always do.)
I like Terri's design the best -- to me it actually looks like something that Ralph Lauren (the U.S. team's designer for Beijing) would do. I also like Joe's look. Korto was a good pick for the winner, though. Her outfit looks sharp, and the white linen would feel comfortable on a hot August day.
I agree on the elimination of Jennifer -- she really didn't get the challenge in any way, shape, or form. Jerell's floppy-hat outfit -- ugh!

What a delight to see that handsome relaxed personna on TV again. We've missed you! Great job all around. And what ever happened to Land Roller? Just seeing Apolo helps fuel the determination to be at the ice in October and watch him go to the start. Zowie..can't wait.

Oh thank goodness it was up on youtube! I missed the show and don't even know what time it comes on here. Anyways, loved seeing Apolo skate around the track and judge the outfits. I pretty much agreed with the judges comments, some of those outfits were ugly! I'm glad Koroto won, Joe's was ok too but Korto was definitely more modern and classy.

Happiness is seeing Apolo on TV again, and in such FINE form... Looked good, sounded great (and thoughtful and pertinant!) just wasn't enough... Not like there's *ever* enough...

Check out this URL...don't know how long it will be up. www.boston.com/lifestyle/fashion/gallery/olympic_uniforms/It shows some of the current Team's clothing at the Olympics....poor Canada! And Poor Australia, New Zealand and Japan..marching around opening ceremonies in business suits! Will be interesting to see how this measures up to tonight's Project Runway! Oh, poor Canada indeed! And we scoffed at the floppy hat last night...

Here's some more photos. I like the one of Apolo skating up to Tim Gunn. And I like how Apolo mirrors Tim's postures. Click on the judges' pictures and you can see Apolo. www.imdb.com/title/tt1245602/mediaindex

It was so great to see Apolo on Project Runway. I watch the show every week, but seeing Apolo was such a sweet bonus. I loved his intro and I thought his critiques of the designs were perfect. I wish he would do more shows like this so we could see more of him.
