I'd be really [and I mean really] shy. I wouldn't know what exactly to say. I probably wouldn't even say hi cuz I'd be so flippin' nervous to meet him. I know a lot of you would probably relate right?

Yea. That's probably a good way to go Jay. You're smart. Well, it's just common sense when you think about it.

Has anyone seen the In Style magazine issue Apolo is in? Currently on the news stands I believe. Was there a good article/interview, or just a blurb? Good pictures? Anything said we haven't already heard? I'm trying to determine if I should run out and grab it or not. Thanks!

August - While waiting in line @ the checkout, I looked through the magazine and found a very small picture of Apolo in it (looked like he was getting out of a car). From what I could quickly scan/read - there was very little mention of him (perhaps a sentence or two). This is because many other people attended that specific event so I'm glad his presence was noteworthy to them! ;D ;D ;D Go ahead & buy it in the name of Apolo, if nothing else! I didn't properly thank you for a comment you made about 2 days ago regarding my Apolo update - I often get lost with all the posts going on simultaneously but you are most welcome.

Thanks Maria! I'll take a peek at it next time I'm in the store, and if the grocery total isn't too catastrophic I'll toss it in. I too am happy to see him getting recognized outside of sports circles. At least... I'm hoping it's a good thing. There are plenty of "A-List" people the world could do just fine without. Still, I want to believe that no matter how high in the celebrity alphabet he climbs, he'll stay true to himself and keep being the guy we admire.

Don't mention it, August. After all, we are all in it for Apolo!
Although his final decision may include both sports & entertainment, it is also my wish to see him not lose himself in the process. Judging from his character, I don't believe Apolo has given any indication that he would stray from the right path!

apolo is taking too much time deciding his path....he only has at least 6 months to announce where he will choose his career before he could focus on skating, if that's what his decision is....and i also hope that he will not regret it....

He would have to make the decision soon if he's going to skate this season, but he could skip a season, maybe even two, altogether and still come back for the next Olympics.
He could announce his retirement and then find out, when the next Olympics are a couple of years away, that he misses it and wants to skate. He would still have time to get prepared.

I'd be really [and I mean really] shy. I wouldn't know what exactly to say. I probably wouldn't even say hi cuz I'd be so flippin' nervous to meet him. I know a lot of you would probably relate right? Krysten, have you heard of "OFF" (for "Ohno Force Field"?) Some of his fans came up with that phrase and acronym to describe what happens to them when they meet him -- they either get tongue-tied, say off-the-wall things, or babble incoherently. I was definitely under the spell of the "OFF" when I met him lol -- I asked him if I could take a picture with him and started to talk to him without even introducing myself. Then *I* broke off the conversation when he obviously would have been okay with continuing it for a *little* bit longer (I was trying to be sensitive to not taking up too much of his time.) I also forgot to get a picture of him with the woman who was with me (I met Rosh from OZ that day.) I'm really hoping that if I ever get to meet him again that I can do a little better! I think that he must be used to it by now though -- the effect that he has on women. Can you imagine what it was like when he first got to be famous? Like -- "Why do women act so strangely around me?" LOL! But he is a really nice guy and I think he goes out of his way to make his fans' time with him special. I was grinning like a fool and floating on air for weeks afterwards. August, the "In Style" photo is the same one that's on his website -- it's about the same size, too. The caption just mentions that he was at that particular event. I like that magazine anyway, so I bought it, but I might not have otherwise done so. It's nice to see him get the publicity, though.
