A little mystery in our lives is a welcome change from the daily monotony, I believe.
And yes, that's me over @ SimplyApolo.com, I think Theresa (webmistress) has made me into a "June Star". She is really a modest and kind person - not to mention a busy body! By the way, she currently seeks help running her site if anyone is interested.
Sorry to hear "Apolo's Autograph" isn't your cup of tea

Not that his autograph isn't my cup of tea, I'd love to have one. I'm just a woman of words and action, I'd like to shake his hand and ask him about how his visit to my city has been, then pat him on the shoulder if he seems to be less than perfectly happy. That's just me.

I think I'm going to stick with the idea that he's just sort of playing with his autograph. Sometimes on posters he'll write things like "5X medals" as well.
As a teacher, I always get asked to sign lots of things at the end of the school year. I know that I like to add little things to my autograph to make it special...often I add a little picture...especially if I really like the kid!

I'd heard that, too, Jay... Crims, as I recall, you have quite a bit of knowledge up your sleeve... do you remember hearing that?

Hi, guys...just passing through and I saw this thread and I just registered for the site. Apolo was very bright as a young kid, was an early reader, tested in the gifted IQ range, and was very musical with a 3-octave voice. His dad got him into the Northwest Boys' Choir as one of the many things to keep Apolo busy. According to Janet & other folks from Seattle, that's really something 'cause they don't take just anybody. As Apolo got older, he didn't like singing in the choir (guess it wasn't cool anymore...lol). Once he hit puberty his voice changed and he couldn't hit the high notes anymore and saw it as a good excuse to get out. No fan, as far as I can tell, has ever heard a peep out of him as far as singing is concerned. If any of you can convince him to sing, go for it!! I bet he's got a helluva sexy mellow singing voice!!

Tigerlilly, thanks for the info! I knew I'd heard that before, too. Apolo is just talented in EVERY area, isn't he? We should get some tv or radio announcer to have Apolo sing on the air!! I love a guy that can sing. Even if he can't, he can certainly whisper little love songs in my ear. Hope you like the forum and keep posting!

;D I added an update regarding Nikkei Concerns over at www.tyomnaya-noch.net/apolo/ In the past, I've neglected to give her due credit (Zenith). For those unaware of this terrific Apolo Fan Site, you will find additional thoughts of my Apolo Encounter not mentioned anywhere else, of course, you will also see other Apolo fans writings (including our customized gravatars). I think you'll have to go back and read from the very beginning in order to understand what's going on...if interested. Happy reading!

Welcome, Tigerlillly, and thank you for your comments. I absolutely love Apolo's speaking voice, so it doesn't surprise me at all that our beautiful guy can sing! Okay, I've got a word for his speaking voice..."mellifluous" -- meaning, "flowing with sweetness or honey" or "smooth and sweet"...yeah, that describes it!
As for being smart...I've never doubted it. My older brother has multiple degrees from M.I.T. and I was sent to live with him (to go to a nearby school,)...I grew up running around the hallways there, and consorting with geniuses...(not that I'm one of them, lol...,) but I know smart when I see it, and he's got it. He has a very good mind.

Zenith does have a great site, doesn't she, Maria? She has lots of screen caps up that I haven't seen anywhere else, and she transcribes many of the videos in case you haven't been able to watch them.
"As for being smart...I've never doubted it." Me either, Susie. That's probably why he likes the strategy that goes into short track so much. He has mentioned that often.
I'd love to hear him sing, too. He does have a nice speaking voice. I'd like to see what else he can do with it.

Actually, since it was before his voice changed, he was probably a boy soprano. We have no way of knowing what he is now. Boy sopranos can become anything. And not all even have a good singing voice at all after their voices change.

I must have missed your "back" pictures, b36. I was patiently waiting for 'the view'. Can you repost them or redirect me to the proper thread? I'm just surprised they haven't generated an enthusiastic response yet
