Well we don't know what happened to that situation. Then or now. Yuki having contact with Apolo's aunt really means nothing. Maybe he just had contact with her for that one time...it happens.
I never knew my father, but I believed he called me once. And my brother is 42 years old and he has had contact with his father only twice since he was born and that was over 38 years ago. He doesn't know if he's dead or alive, BUT my uncle saw him 5 years ago.
So really, it means nothing. We don't know the circumstances in how Yuki came to be in contact with Apolo's aunt. Or if Apolo is in a position that he needs to forgive somebody.

ya its crazy how much iv read and learned about him, and yet i noe nothing about him at all kinda tripy Right!!! That's exactly why I don't give to much thought to what I see in pictures and who's he's with and what he likes to do and what he really actually ends up doing. Apolo seems like the kinda person that if he wants you to know how he feels about something, he will let you know how he feels about it.

is it true that his mother was only 18 at the time she gave birth? i wonder if she's tried to make contact with him, especially since he's so well known now...how would you respond to a virtual "stranger" in that situation?

is it true that his mother was only 18 at the time she gave birth? i wonder if she's tried to make contact with him, especially since he's so well known now...how would you respond to a virtual "stranger" in that situation? Yes, Jamie was 18 when she gave birth to Apolo. And about that "family friend" in his book. The one that he found out might had been his aunt, well she really didn't have that big of an effect on him, it looks like, but moreso Apolo was afraid of what his father was going to do to him. That's why he went back home when he ran away. So that should tell us something, give us a tiny piece of insight

But being a mother, myself, I cannot imagine having a child and then, abandoning it. Giving it up for adoption, MAYBE, but just leaving it with it's father and that's it?
I know I could not nor would I NOT do it. I can't imagine leaving my child either but I know someone who did just that. My brother-in-law married a girl of 18, he was 24. She had one child right away and had another when the first was two. She decided she didn't want to be tied down when the youngest was six months old. When they got a divorse, my broker-in-law was given custody and she was given regular visiting rights. From that day on she never even tried to see the children again. They are 21 and 19 now. I think she was just too young and not ready for marriage and the responsibility of kids. The terrible thing is the lasting consequences on the kids when people do things like this. Even though they really didn't remember her, they will always feel abandoned. It just makes me so sad. I hope Apolo doesn't feel that way.

Do you think Apolo is damaged in any way? because his mom left him and all he had was his father to love and support him.

Yes he admits that he is damaged in some sort of way.
He admitted it twice, once in a interview and once in his autobiography. He thinks that he probably wouldn't had push people away as much if he had a mom in his life.
And he also admits that he sometimes can still be selfish. He has admitted this several times.

It always amazes me how mature and serious Apolo is given his age.
It's great that he can recognize some of the problems he may have and the cause. I know my niece and nephew have never acknowledged that any of the problems they have with relationships have anything to do with their mother abandoning them.
