My favorites are Michael, Ramiele, and Syesha. One final note: Paula is still perplexing  Quoting part of my earlier post because...hmm, I may have to rethink my "favorites." There is one notable performer absent from that list! Wow! |

I actually love David Hernandez   OMG! This is my last post...sorry... I absoutly love David Archuleta! AND he's 17?! Good lord! That kid can sing! Paula was funny, she said, "I wanna dangle you from my bedroom mirror." That would hurt!  I think she said something about squeezing him so hard his head would pop off and dangling him from her rearview mirror. I was really surprised Simon didn't jump on that! I laughed outright. I don't think she's the brightest bulb in the box, but she is a lot calmer than last year, IMO, and SOMEONE has to be nice to these poor kids. I agree, David A. is fantastic, but I thought the guys as a group did better this week than last. Won't say more until it airs on the west coast! |

un-frikken-believable! he made my eyes tears up!...it doesn't matter if he wins or losses this contest, he will be commercially successful in any genre...what a talent and most importantly, good kid!

2. Luke Menard
3. Michael Johns
4. David Hernandez
But OMG, is there any question that David Archuleta is the next American Idol? Paula is right, he is headed for super stardom. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE him. I can't say enough, I can't get enough of him. He is adorable in every way. Unbelievable. This is the show's intent.
I can't even think about previous years winners and contestants. David Archuleta overshadows everyone.

Well, I have to agree. The guys in general this week were better than last week, but David was amazing. To not only sing a Lennon song and sing it well, but to make it original and his own, now that's a feat. Every once in awhile you stumble on an old standard song, sung in a totally different way, and you almost like it better than the original. The last time I remember that happening was another Lennon/McCartney song "I will', by Benjamin Taylor (James Taylors son with Carley Simon. He sounds a lot like James) I just love this version of this song (#2 on the soundtrack) www.wcmusic.info/files/abc/s/soundtrackbyebyelove95.phpOn another note, as we all know, Simon really is a jerk most of the time. but he's more offensive than normal tonight. For someone who is more than happy to dish out snotty remarks, he sure can't take it when his 'tude' is hurled right back at him. Gut-less wonder..... (serious eye rolling here) People like this just irritate me no end. "Please world, by all means, I insist you all bend over and take my cr@p, and NOBODY better stand up to me or I'll simper and pout and throw a tantrum." I've got a better idea. How 'bout if the whole world collectively just smacks him upside the head....  |

well...paula is just being paula.....and unfortunately for all of us, simon is being a more rotten simon...he suuure can't take what he dishes  .
i don't think any of the guys were terrible...there's just sooo much talent this season and it's rising sooo early...geesh it's only week 2  .
none of the contestants can afford an off-night...
of course i loved david a  ...thought david n and michael j slipped a bit  ...and robbie and jason y are on the bubble.
