Michael's voice is so pure and effortless. Luv him!
I thought David Cook was awesome last week when he sang 'Hello' and I really liked him again this week. I seem to always go for the rocker types (like Bo Bice and Chris Daughtry).
I know a lot of people love David A., but I just don't get all the hype. His voice is a little too raspy for my taste. I felt bad for him last night, though.
I'm still not overly impressed with the girls, but I do like Brooke, Carly and Syesha.
I don't think Kristy deserved to make the top 12, so I hope she goes home tonight. But it's really a toss up between her and Amanda for me.

Michael Johns was my favorite last night.
I think David A is starting to crack under the pressure...and singing last only made that worse. I still think he's great.
I am one of the few people on the planet who enjoyed Kristie's performance. I thought "Eight Days a Week" sung country-style was great. She really pulled it off.

First I just want to say I love Brooke! I've liked her from the beginning and her being from my home state makes me like her even better. Her performance was so touching and I just think she is so talented. But I'm hoping she is safe tonight because I want to see a different side to her, a more upbeat and fun performance. I know she can do it, I found a vid of her on youtube performing in some club but the quality isn't so good but you get the idea. youtube.com/watch?v=MySeaHPyWUI&feature=relatedanother one of Brooke when she was 16 youtube.com/watch?v=wq6mCY8_Ow0&feature=relatedOk on to the others. I liked Carly's performance, but I've always liked her and I know she will go far in this competition, not sure if she'll win but I know we will see more of her. I liked Michael's performance but I want to see him do more, kinda like Brooke and Jason, I love the raw performances but I want to see a different and fun side to them that I know is there. Poor little David! I love that kid, I felt so sad for him being nervous and forgetting the lyrics. I wanted to reach through the tv and give him a hug! Even though he didn't do that well, I think he will still be safe tonight, I just hope he overcomes the nerves for the next time. I think he's just not as confident as the others on stage because he's so young and not as experienced but I know he's got it in there somewhere, you can do it David! David C was great, but for some reason I'm not diggin' him all that much. I like rockers but him and Amanda I'm just not gettin'. But I would say that I like David C better than Amanda. David H was just ok to me last night, I like his voice but I think his past stripper days have affected my opinion of him. Yeah he's from my city but it doesn't matter, he's just ok to me. Chickeze(sp?), Ramille(sp?), and Syesha(?) were just ok to me. But I do have to say that I was surprised at Chickeze's performance! I didn't think he had it in him to perform like that! Kristy wasn't good at all and I've never really cared for her anyways. I hope she goes home tonight.

Which guy is the one who's 17..he kinda disappointed me... I liked him..Now i like Jason! I'm stinking with him and Jacuzzi! What can I say I like black men! I liked the girls. That girl who did the country spin on that song got victimized by the judges, I thought. And Ryan, I swear, had something before the show! What's with him jumping up and down with Jacuzzi! I'll be sad if my favorites leave!!!!!

Jenna: LOL @ Jacuzzi! I loved Michael Johns and David Cook's performance. Everyone else, I didn't like. I felt what Kristy did was disrespectful in a way.

Syesha. - Forgetable. Not only because she had the first spot, but because her performance was zzzzzzzzzz. Chikeze - A stunner. Really well done. Ramiele - I don’t get the ‘played it safe’ comment. I liked her song choice and performance. Jason - Well done, but I’m dazzled more by his beautiful eyes and gorgeous teeth than I am his voice. Carly - I can appreciate that she’s talented, but she does nothing for me. David C - I thought he was the best of the night. Brooke. Simon loves her. I think she’s the best of the ladies, but the ladies haven’t grabbed me this year. David H - Love him, but tonight was his weakest performance. I don’t think he needs to worry though Amanda - MUST! GO! NOW! Michael: - Loved his performance though the song wasn’t familiar. Kristy - Who thinks a country version of a classic Beatles tune is a smart choice? Needs to go after Amanda. David A - Oh! My! God! I’m worried that the stress of being pimped as The Chosen One might be affecting David. Something’s happened since “Imagine”. He seemed completely disoriented during tonight's performance. I started to worry during his pre-clip when he stated that he’d never been more nervous and was really stressed. Many say forgetting the lyrics once - let alone 2 or 3 times as he did - is unforgivable. (I've read tonight that David Cook errored with his lyrics). I’m also wondering if he has a tough time with the faster-paced songs or if he's just tired from the pace and taking school unlike the others. Regardless, maybe now the pimping will subside and he’ll be judged on his talent. Next week will tell the tale. He’s not going anywhere for awhile. He probably gets more votes himself than the others combined and the criticism will only help him and encourage voters who may fear he’s in trouble. I give him props for taking the criticism like a man, no excuses, no back talk, no drama. While it showed what a pro he really is publicly, I don’t doubt for a minute that he had a bit of a breakdown privately backstage. It was a bit of a crash and burn. You could tell he was embarrassed. Did anyone else notice him say ‘sorry’ to the crowd at the stage when he finished? He knew. I agree with much of what you said here, Lexi. I felt so bad for David A. They should NOT have put him last. When Ryan kept NOT saying his name, I began to fear for him. A kid just turned 17 who has to close out the first show for the top 12? Just not fair. I know he experience on stage, but he was on Star Search when 12. At that age, you're pretty self-confident. Now, he's a growing teenage boy just getting used to having tweens scream his name. I also wonder if his vocal paralysis is really 100% healed. Perhaps he fears overuse? And, he has to do his schoolwork, on top of preparing for the show and it's accompanying photoshoots, publicity, events, etc. Here's hoping he can conquer his nerves, but I really think he has a gift. Someone mentioned they don't know what his style is... I think maybe he's not sure either. The older ones on the show seem to know. David is just learning, though it's clear he leans towards slower, more thoughtful songs. Anyone think he might be able to make it a Josh Groban or Michael Buble type of vibe? Poor Kristy, too. Maybe a little country feel to the song would have been fine, but the backwoods twang was too much. It was painful, even though I think she has a nice voice. I like Chikeze a lot, but I can't really see him making it as a solo artist. He'd be a heck of a lot of fun to hang out with though (if I were still in my early 20's). Amanda... I don't know how she made the top 12. Seems like people love her or don't get her. I'm in the latter group. She screams a lot and is raspy, though she does have nice tone when she sings normally. VERY curious to see how it goes down tonight!

Linmiste - I said this last night as I knew something was 'off'..... David A - Oh! My! God! I’m worried that the stress of being pimped as The Chosen One might be affecting David. Something’s happened since “Imagine”. He seemed completely disoriented during tonight's performance. Now we know why. He has the stage father from hell. No wonder he was off his game last night. YIKES! The poor kid. www.etonline.com/news/2008/03/59501/index.htmlIs there more to his shaky performance last night?
Was there more than just nerves behind 17-year-old DAVID ARCHULETA's shaky performance on last night's "American Idol"?
The early favorite was definitely off his game and even forgot several lines during his version of THE BEATLES' "We Can Work It Out." Sources are telling ET the singer may be feeling the pressure from his "stage father" JEFF ARCHULETA, who reportedly yelled at David during a recording session Monday. Sources say Dad wasn't happy with his son's singing -- and even brought him to tears. Neither Jeff nor reps for "American Idol" would comment on the alleged incident.
Update: LYNN and ALEX, writers of entertainment blog www.laragmag.com tell ET that this may not be the first time Jeff has lost it -- they tell us that he was banned from the set of "Star Search" when a 12-year-old David competed on the program. The writers explain that there were rumors that Jeff had allegedly harassed a girl named TIFFANY who was David's competition in the contest.

Gosh, that's upsetting! Dad needs to get a grip! Really, this isn't the beginning or the end of David's career. I hope Dad sees these articles and sees the light! Back off and let your boy be himself!
