I DON'T miss my long hair. I just didn't take care of it. And became lazy with it. I can't wait for the season to start.

I'm really looking forward to watching Kristi and Mark; I'm a huge fan of hers. Here's a rehearsal video: www.etonline.com/news/2008/03/59345/index.htmlI have a feeling, though, that she will be a little Jane Seymour-ish - great in ballroom but not raunchy enough for Latin. She just seems so squeaky-clean.

Thanks, casper. Great interview with Kristi. I loved how she talks about being friends with him and Kurt Browning (he's great!)
Love this part -- how he just calls her: "Yeah. I voted for Apolo. He's come to a couple of my foundation fundraisers. He's a great guy. He called me [earlier this month], but I missed his call and now he's in Asia. I wanted to get some advice."
I remember voting and frantically calling each week: 1-800-868-3411..."Thank you for voting for Apolo and Julianne!"

3411... redial... redial... redial
Hard to believe that was a year ago! Wringing my hands and wondering can he really pull this off or should I be hoping he'll be spared with a quick elimination? Then after the first night removed all doubt, all I could think of was what a blessing it was to get to see him descend those stairs every week. Wow. Just when you think you've outgrown the fangurl stage.
I'll bet he votes for Kristi too, in fact she'll probably get a lot of his fanbase votes. Not to mention her own fans, old and new. This should be an interesting season. At least I'm not coming in bitter this time!

Once for being a Kristi fangurl? and once for being an Apolo fangurl?

Virtual hug to you Mtnme. You keep me from tapping the microphone and asking "Is this thing on?" Well, Thank You August. You really are listened too, I think sometimes there is just so much on the threads, it's hard to respond back to everyone. Your posts are always insightful and often highly amusing. When I see the licking kitty, I know there is something wonderful coming. You're always a 'Good Read".

Aw, thanks I can't always come in spouting scripture because I'm not always that deeply moved, but I do what I can to participate. This is by far the best forum I've ever been on and it's nice to feel a part of it. Back on topic: We're near the starting gate of season 6! Thankfully, it isn't the fall season so poor Tom won't have to constantly point out which ABC stars are perched in the audience against their will. I'm still having uneasy dreams about the Cavemen gleefully applauding Sabrina's quickstep. I'm coming in with a favorite as I did in season 4. Of course that season I could not be shaken. Much as I liked Laila, felt for Ian, and was genuinely tickled by Joey, Apolo never lost a single vote from me. No regrets. I love the boy and (wow... I said that out loud) I felt he did very well and I wanted him to win. But is my loyalty to Kristi tight enough to secure my votes even if someone else wow's me? We shall see. I've seen a lot of rehearsal footage. Some of these folks are GOOD, even early on. For sure it will be entertaining.

Mercifully, the sit-com, like the dodo bird, became extinct. Was that just the stupidest concept for a tv show ever conceived? I already thought the commercials were obnoxious. BRING BACK THE GECKO!!!!!

He was the only reason I watched the show and I was just so nervous...but really saw that spark the very first night. And the transformation was nothing less than amazing. Sometimes I will still watch the end of the finale when he wins and still get nervous waiting for them to call his name as the winner (I know). SO GREAT!!! Wow - what a moment in time...

Yeah, Apolo on DWTS was the best. I don't think anyone can top the charisma and connection I felt with him and Julianne. I am looking forward to tomorrow night, though. Kristi is my favorite star going in... Derek my favorite pro. So, I don't know how I'll vote. Yeah, I know it's supposed to be about the star, but really, I appreciate some eye candy, too. I love Julianne, but I can't see her making it past week three, with Adam as her sidekick. My poor hubby... between DWTS and Idol, he'll be banishing himself from the living room (we only have one TV) for three nights in a row. And will I watch DWTS or Idol when they conflict? Decisions, decisions.... P.S. August, I agree with mntme that I love reading your posts when they pop up! You always make me smile.

Thanks Sk8on for the links. I was reading Cristian De la Fuente's blog, and two things he said reminded me of someone we all love. Cristian wrote, "You have to give your 110% when you do something, so when everything is done you will never have the feeling that you didn't give your best". He also wrote, "Whether I last one week or 10 I'll be happy knowing that if my journey ends early it is because there was somebody better than me and not because I didn't give it everything I could." If I didn't know that it was from Cristian's blog, I definitely would think that Apolo said it. I can't wait for tomorrow. ;D
