Hey, does anyone have any ways to help relieve a migrane? I have had a horrible migrane for 4 days now. I have tried excedrine, tried ibprophin, tried laying in a dark room. My brothers are also running around screaming so that doesn't help much. I have also tried sleeping it off, slept almost all day yesterday, and all day today. Any help would be mucho appreciated.

thanks for the tips Rach! Gatorade makes me sick though. My back is now starting to hurt, whenever I get a bad migraine, my back hurts. I hurt my back in cheerleading my freshman year, it has never been the same.

If you havent already used too much caffiene (Excedrin) try very black tea no sugar. My dad's boss was a young boy in Korea (he's an American, btw). When the Korean war broke out. He and his brother soon found themselves behind enemy lines and a soviet soldier sheltered them and helped them get back south of enemy lines. They eventually both were evacuated to Japan where they promptly lied about their age, enlisted, went back to Korea in the Army and eventually ended up as translators at the peace talks. (True story, they ought to make a movie out of it). What was the point of this? ? Oh yeah, thingy suffers from migraines and the Ruski soldier told him to drink very strong black tea. He swears by it to this day. Alas, it doesn't always work for me and tonight is a case in point. I'm dying here too, so, if anyone has any remedies, put em up.

Just try anything with caffiene that you can stomach. That helps. Or midol (AKA God's Gift).

What have you been eating Angel? Have you changed your diet radically? I get migraines when my blood sugar is low, or if I eat a "low-carb" diet, my body needs a small amount of whole grains, and dairy to feel good. Have you had any sugar lately? That could also be the culprit. Dehydration is also something that causes bad headaches. But, since you say your back hurts, I'd say it's old fashioned stress. You're too young for that to be happening to you. Look into it to see if maybe you need to walk away from something in your life right now. If it's giving yoiu headaches, it's just not worth the trouble. You know?

I have been eating a balanced diet, not a lot of sugar at all. I just started drinking a lot of water lately, but I don't drink much caffine so it isn't caffine withdrawls. Stress...well my father is at it again, trying to control me, but that was friday, not thursday. So, all in all, I have no idea what is up with me.

My absolute last resort because it is the absolute last thing I want to do when I have a headache is exercise. It works every single time I can bear to do it. It doesn't take long but has to be done till I break a sweat or get my heart moving. It seems to to a reset or something or maybe it is a stress refief thing but, it works too fast for that. Two weeks ago, I was on the exercise bike at 2 a.m. peddling and balling my eyes out. It workedl.

There's got to be a trigger somewhere, there usually is, especially since yours is related to your back. Period maybe? Maybe some heavy lifting? Sit-ups, or exercise that may have touched your back? Picking up a child? And again, menstrual cycle. Migraine headaches are still such a mystery. I've learned my triggers, but alot of other women haven't. I hope you're not one of the women who won't be able to figure it out!
