Warhorse, I'm sorry that you lost Panther. How is Houdini doing? Cute name, BTW!
MT, I don't get soaked, but I *always* get water on me. It must be some kind of rule.

Okay, I am really pissed about this. This girl wrote a letter to the editors of Seventeen magazine talking about how they shouldn't be prising girls who are curvy. So I wrote a letter back, tell me what you think. Jenna's letter: I am writing in response to all the people who have praised Seventeen for "embracing many body shapes." Being fat should not be accepted. It's unhealthy to be over weight asnd even more unhealthy to praise people for being "curvy" like this magazine does. Both my parents are doctors, and I know I am not the only one who is disgusted by looking at all the fat people who seem to be everywhere. There are options : Diet and Exercise. It isn't hard to be skinny, trust me.
Here is my reponse: I am writing in response to Jenna's letter in the August issue. Who are you to decide what is and isn't socially acceptable? There is nothing unhealthy about being curvy! I am curvy, and I LOVE my curves. Why shouldn’t people embrace many body shapes? Embracing different body shapes is just as important as embracing different cultures. People can be curvy without being unhealthy. Your letter is the kind of negative force girls don’t need in this world. So many people wonder why so many young girls are suffering from low self-esteem and eating disorders, it is the kind of negative responses they get from their peers! I am in complete disgust over how you can be so intolerant of people of different body types! I do not know if you have not gotten your “womanly curves” yet or what, but when and if you do, you will be embracing them like no other. In many of the magazines that I have read, Men have said that there is nothing more beautiful than a confidant CURVY woman. If your idea of a beautiful body is a size zero with no curves, so be it, but I feel sorry for you, you really are missing out. As for your little blurb about being skinny, I don’t care that being skinny comes easy for you. It actually came off as a cry for attention. Go eat a candy bar. **************************************************** What do you think?

That was so well spoken Angel!! ;D Too many people think that being a tall girl 5'7" and above, and a size 12 is fat!! Well bite me if that's what you think you skinny little peeps!! That sounded immature, I know, but my blood pressure is 110 over 70, and my cholesterol is low, I didn't ask my doctor for the exact numbers. Guess what? I'm 5'7" and a size 12!! My doctor says I'm the perfect picture of health, yet magazines try to say that I'm fat and ugly. Men watch me walk by, and sometimes are too intimidated to talk to me for God's sake! If men like us and find us attractive, it must be the women who are coming up with the insults, don't you think? I think all of the catty, low self-esteemed, PAY ATTENTION TO ME, ditches in this world should do more than just eat a candy bar. Go get a large pizza with the works for a late lunch, and don't go to bed until you've eaten the whole thing you little fools!!
There, I feel better now.

Isn't it funny, that a comment like that "Jenna" girl made, came from a rich brat? I bet she has a personal trainer that mommy and daddy bought for her, and she can't have her allowance unless she lives up to their standards. I would go outside and exercise, if it weren't so frickin' hot here in Oregon right now. And guess what, even if I exercise, I'm lucky to get smaller than a size 9/10. I feel sorry for that Jenna chick.
