But how can they make you pay for it? Do you know what happens if someone refuses to?
BTW, this is the most peculiar thing I've ever heard of. No sack lunches allowed? Riiiiiight.

I'm sure it's just to prevent people bringing in "non-typical" lunch items... like everclear in Mt. Dew Bottles or "special brownies." So it sort of makes sense... it's still mean though.

we cannot just grab food, we are in a line and we swipe our lunch cards and then get the food. It's the same way for Ala Carte. No one can refuse to pay for the food because you have to pay for the food before you get it. If anyone is caught steeling, they get in school suspension

Jacy, start a boycott! I bet there are others at your school that feel the same way. You'd be sending a clear message to the school by staging a one day boycott of the cafeteria food. You could even picket outside the cafeteria. This is America, right? We have the right to peaceful demonstrations and protests, right? I bet it would work.

I had lunch cards at my high school. But they didn't force people to put money on them. It was optional.
If someone's willing to bring everclear and pot to school, I doubt they're rule-oriented enough to be like, "Well, if I can't bring a sack lunch I guess it's just impossible to bring my pot to school too. If only sack lunches were allowed!"
If they wanna bring pot, screw brownies, they'll roll a joint and get high before class like everyone else, lol. No sack required!
I'm not saying refusing to pay and then STEALING the food. I'm saying refusing to pay and then NOT EATING IT.

students have very little rights in school. That is why teachers can tell us to shut up. Everyone would also get suspension and knowing my school, any senior that participates would not recieve their diploma.

oh, well you don't have to get lunch, but then you can't get Ala Carte. it's weird, you have to get the lunch but you don't have to eat it just to get ala carte. And Ruffian, my school has so many problems with drugs. This year alone we have had 7 lockdowns. People are stupid enough to bring drugs with them to school, then tell people about it.

They'd recieve their diploma. They may not be able to walk at graduation. But they'd get their diploma. Teachers were allowed to tell people to shut up at my school

I never understood people who got high and then went to class. Or drunk.
Since when are potheads motivated?
So they don't make you pay for the food, right?

at my school, if you do not pay your bills, have a negitive lunch balance, have unserved dentitions, or don't have your portfolio done, you don't get your diploma right away, you walk at graduation but you don't get your diploma.

if you don't want to eat, you don't pay.

Most of those rules make some sense. I'm sure it was similar at my school. They gave you the diploma, though.
Then don't pay for the food.
