awwww thanx you guys
and Amy i loved that story i completly noe how you feel, me and my best friend used to try and save up for a horse, and then my parents got me one, i dont think i was ever as happy as i was when i got her. theres something unspoken about a human and horses connection to one anther. its unlike anything, i mean i have a dog who i love so much i duno what i would do with out him hes my brother my best friend, but the relationships that i have with my horses are different, its just this connection i can feel the horses thoughts and emotions and i noe they can feel mine. like sometimes when im having a realy dad day my horse just looks at me and then he lies down and i can lie down next to him, its amazing, its so dangerous to do but somehow i feel so safe. i did it with my old mare too. I just got her and she got me, its an unspoken language that humans and horses have, theres so much trust in the relationship.
srry i rambled memories. . .

No, don't be sorry. It gets back to what I was saying about it's not so odd that people mourn their pets so much when they die and are gone. To me, a relationship with an animal can be JUST as meaningful if NOT MORE SO than one's with people. It all goes back to that "unconditional love" and that "connection".
That's why it just BLOWS MY MIND to NO END how people can ABUSE an animal. I can't even fathom doing that to ANY being, animal, child, other person, whatever. That kind of mindset, I have NO USE for, what-so-ever, know what I mean?
So I totally understand how you felt about your horse and how you feel about the one you have now. My friend when I was younger, Carla, the one with the horses....she was the same way with hers. You just have to open your heart and your mind. Animals are wonderful, period. I can't imagine life without them, personally.

That's ok. A lot of people have random memories on here. For some odd reason.

This isn't my horse, but a friend's. She's letting me borrow him for endurance competitions. I just came in second last Saturday in a small local race, about 10 miles. Completed jsut under 3 hours. He's really little too, only about 13.3 h.h. His name is Joey.

Joey is a beautiful babe. I should post the pictures of all the beautiful horses that were in the St. Paddy's Day parade here. Cassandra, my daughter, was in it, twiriling baton with her baton class. Lots of beauts that day! ;D

I wonder if we could have a special thread on horses? I know it;s silly to see on an Apolo site, but there are alot of horse enthusiasts here.

I had logged out and need to get to bed so I don't want to log back in. I think a thread on horses is a wonderful idea. There are obviously lots of members who love horses. Please, do start one!

That is so strange though. How come so many Apolo fans like horses? Is it in the stars or something?

Well, a lot of us adore cats too and we know Apolo does, as well. So...why didn't we think of that?
