Lipizzanners are always born black or bay and will start to turn into a grey or white color in a ten year span. If a horse has dapples, it just might mean that they are young. However, there have been many lipizanners that keep their black and bay color throughout their lives, and in the Spanish Riding School in Vienna, Austria, it is tradition to keep one bay stallion there at all times.

Sometimes! I've done a ton of barrel racing amd pole bending competitions, and I did for a short while showed in training level Eventing, but all the cross counrty cources were knocked down in south Florida. I now do endurance competitions and occasional hunter/jumper. But once I relocate to Georgia, I plan to get back in my eventing!
