Indifference, not hate, is the opposite of love -- because if you hate, you still care.

OK - he's disarmingly handsome in person. But it's like he doesn't know it , so that makes it even more appealing. We were sitting directly behind him a few tables back and he was sitting with his back to us and I just noticed the perfect "V" of his shoulders to his waist. Seriously, he just doesn't look real somehow -- since he's so handsome! "But it's like he doesn't know it"...that's the icing on the cupcake, isn't it? And ITA about the "perfect V". Lori conveyed Maria Toldaro's message to her: Hi Lori! I wanted to let you know that I hand-delivered the envelope to Apolo and watched him open it Ooooooohhh! *squeal*

I had intended to e-mail Maria Todaro to ensure that Apolo had indeed gotten our message. But she beat me to the punch. I just got an e-mail from her, which read: Hi Lori! I wanted to let you know that I hand-delivered the envelope to Apolo and watched him open it He seemed flattered! Thank you so much for coming to our event. I hope you had a great time. Best, Maria -------------------------------- Can I say - BONUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D AWESOME!

Lori, Lori, Lori! Yay! You sound like you had such a fulfilling experience! I am so very happy for you and the other girls who were fortunate to meet him... especially for their/your first time. There's nothing like the first time... except the second! Is anyone else having trouble seeing the first three pictures like me? I am so anxious! Can someone please repost them or pm them to me if I'm the only one having probs? Oh, I can't stand it! Thank you to whomever my heroine wil be! ETA: I got them safe and sound, I can breathe now!

Wow, Lori, what a trip! Thanks so much for sharing your story and the fabulous looooong time you got to stand next to Mr. Super-Sexy-Smokey-Silver-Silk-Shirt. Your husband deserves a badge of honor.

Okay - here's the picture with Apolo and me...but I was way too goofy and scary to be in that picture with him...you need to just focus on this guy! How could someone be that handsome? And then I was standing right here taking this picture... Here's a picture where the dinner was on the ice rink, but they were already breaking down a lot of it, but you can get the idea. It was really a wonderful event. The Kroc Center did a beautiful job. I tried over and over to try and make these pictures smaller. I reduced them in Photoshop and re-loaded but they are still massive. Anyone know how to do that?

Wow, skaterswaltz, those are great! Thank you for posting. And let me just say that I am HAPPY that you couldn't make them smaller! ;D Wonderful, big pictures! The first two: I love it when a man stands like he's doing in pic number 2. I think the whole dinner looked classy. And the lights around the stage look like ice cubes. How cute!

And I'm am always impressed by celebrities that "let you enjoy them." I can't actually explain it - it is just this wonderful quality that they know it is very special for you to meet them and let you enjoy that moment. It's priceless. Some celebrities are not so generous.

Thank you skaterswaltz for those lovely pics! And I know you just couldn't resist taking the second one. Thanks for sharing them with us but it would of been nice to see your face too. I'm impressed too how some celebs like Apolo are so gracious and patient, letting you enjoy them, talking to them, taking pics with them. I met Chris Daughtry, and he was exactly like that. Why can't more celebs be like that?

I was just really looking at how nice his hair looked from the back... yeah, that's it. hee hee!!
