I'll check the forum before I leave tomorrow.. at least I'll know how the 1000 came out. I'm so proud of the team and especially AAO. How I'd love the for girls to come home with something. I'm especially jazzed about Jeff and his courage coming back from the injury and fighting through every race. What a competitor!

Hey, ya just never know with this sport, they could start early like they did yesterday- or we just have the times zones completely wacked.
I'm gonna make some dinner, if we have that much of a wait.

Yeah, I'm seeing 12:20 too = 10:20 Eastern, 7:20 Pacific. Man, and we lose an hour of sleep tonight anyway with the time change. The USS website (where we got the original schedule) is still showing 10:20 Korean time. ...Dang, and Mr. Girl wanted to go to the beach to watch the sunset, but I stayed put. Oh well, I'm gonna try to get some work done - I'll keep checking here.

AAO, the 3000 will be raced no matter what. I 'think' the top 8 or so skaters compete in it, and as you said, it's significance is that it's a tie-breakere. I'm not sure if there are medals awarded for it though - anybody know?

It will be interesting to see if we all huddle together in 2 weeksn when the races are broadcast. How pathetic are we? We know the end results, endured 3 nights of late-night Korean TV....and surely alot of us will make time to watch the races. Maybe we should start a new thread for watching those......"ISU World Championships REvised....The Way Life Should Be" I vote myself the biggest dork in your little band of pathetic souls. I DVR'd the races from SLC. I have been watching them in bits and pieces over the past week. I find myself on the edge of my seat in anxiety, reacting to the crashes and rooting for my favorites. The only problem with this is that not only do I know how each one ends....I WAS THERE!!! Man, what a dork.

Wags, how did you DVR them if you were there? Or is that stupid question?

Wags, how did you DVR them if you were there? Or is that stupid question? Not a stupid question at all. They were broadcast on UNHD about 2 weeks after we got back. DVR'd them then.

For those lucky enough to get UNHD. Here in the sticks, we get nada. Unless you're heavy into home shopping channels. And of course, we have several channels devoted to showing folks the wonder of Tahoe (which are really just hour long commercials for the place with really great photography) . Which I find highly amusing in as much as "hey babe, we LIVE here!!!! We know all about it!!! Why aren't you showing this stuff in LA where they dont?"...)

OK, ruff - what sadomasochist created that game? It took me about 10 tries but I finally got the stupid ball all the way around. Crazy. But it was a great diversion from listening to the Korean tv I've got minimized on my screen.

Hey ISU is flashing their live feed, so they must be getting close. Flashing yesterdays relays, but it's on.
