props to lindsey, noelle and theresa at gotapolo.com, ohnozone.net and simplyapolo.com respectively, for understanding the importance of this movement and for graciously opening their websites as a starting point for this fantastic program!

And giving more credit where credit is due, Theresa worked her butt off on the site today, and we have the site really coming together now. here is the link to the main website. click on skaters of the month to see how she did a cool thing with their pics! therockerfund.org/(We should probably change Apolo out of the banner though. Love ya guy, but ya got enough money, comparatively speaking! LOL) But we thank the man for being the one who brought us all together and inspired us to do this. GA is, after all, (for the most part) - all about him!

The website is coming along, and we are adding skater's bio's as we get all the necessary information from them. The contact link on The Rocker Fund site isn't working for some reason for Lori and me (and I don't even know hers) but here is mine.
Clubs and skaters who would like to know more about this endeavor or would like to be included in our efforts can contact us at:
mtnme.therockerfund.org@gmail.com
I'll edit this with Lori's once I find out what it is! LOL.

Just a reminder on those donations. Make sure you indicate somewhere on your check or card which skater you would like your donation to go to. We have multiple skaters coming from the same clubs. Without an indication of which skater you are donating to, the clubs don't know who to give the money to. So make sure that information is enclosed with the moola. And Remember-No donation is too small, they all add up, and collectively, can really help a skater with ice time, equipment and airfare. (...and we all know how outrageous that last one is at the moment!)

What a charming idea. Way to go everyone. I admit that I did not take the time to read all of the posts........ but has anyone considered expanding this idea, say to retired skaters or skaters like Apolo, (who is financially secure) and ask them to sponsor an up and coming skater? Just a thought.

Just a thought. It's an interesting thought, Hanson - we've been getting lots of good ideas from y'all, and once this thing gets a little 'older' and better-known, we'll be exploring some of them. In order to grow we'll eventually need to expand beyond the Apolo fan-sites. Just keep those ideas coming - it encourages us more than you know~!

Hi everyone, The Rocker Funds re-worked site is finally up. You can use the link below. If you already had the site bookmarked, it will forward to this address until I move the domain name. (...that should be just oodles of fun... I can hardly wait. ) 69.94.74.194/Please cruise around the site, and let us know about broken links, missing graphics, typos, bad writing, inadvertantly forgotten material, incorrect information- .. etc.. etc. or anything else you think will make the site better. Many thanks to Apolostarr (Theresa) for all the graphics, advice and help with the website. (There are two header banners on the site: a) See if you can find them - (kind of a cyber "Where's Waldo?") LOL b) let us know what you think of them. Heck, let us know what you think about the site in general.... Thank You August for the perfect opening statement. Elequent as always, my dear Now that Every Waking Minute I'm not at work isn't being spent on getting the website done, I'll be able to catch up with the clubs and skaters for The Rocker Funds Total Donations to date. We will continue to post Skater of the Month and The Rocker Fund info here at GA as well as the site. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to catch up on some VERY deprived Zzzzzzz'z...
