Bigheart, I am guilty of the same excessive desire to know about Apolo's personal life, and I too, hope to get over it real soon! I have been loving apolo since 02...you never get over it!!! ;D Never get over it? Oh perfect, just what I need in my life: yet another addiction. (Isn't there a patch I could wear or something?)

Can someone explain what it is about a 25 year old that has women of all ages going crazy over him?? I neve felt this way and my youngest child is his age. I should be like out of this phase of my life..........or dreaming about Clint Eastwood,,,,,,,,OK, I'm not that old or wrinkled...George Clooney maybe......but when I saw him, up close and personal, well, now when I see those old films of those girls that fainted when they saw the Beatles on " The Ed Sullivan Show", I stopped laughing at them.

Oh my word! I know exactly what you mean! My mother would always talk about an Elvis concert that she went to. She would say how all of the girls were ridiculous in their screaming admiration of him, and I grew up with a disdain of the "fan" mentality. Now, I understand better. It has really helped me be aware of when I am being judgmental about other people's behavior.

Can someone explain what it is about a 25 year old that has women of all ages going crazy over him?? Very good question, Ohnoagain. For me, I've always found athletes a lot more attractive than movie stars, tv stars and the like. Their incredible drive, determination and willingness to sacrifice all for something they're passionate about impresses me the most. (Stop laughing - I will touch on the superficial stuff eventually). Ambition is sexy. There's just something mind blowing about anybody who knows exactly what they want and exactly how they're going to get it and then goes ahead and gets get it like it was destined to be theirs all along. That fierce competitiveness is HOT. With Apolo, there's also this mystique that everyone speaks of. I much prefer that I know little about him away from the ice. If he were one of those who was over exposed to the public, I'd quickly lose interest. I like how he comes in, does his thing, blows everyone away and then disappears for awhile, leaving stunned fans in his wake, desperately anticipating another glimpse of him. Then, of course, there's the other stuff. The face that leaves you immobilized, the body that won't quit, the charm and personality that draws you in and humbleness and 'normalcy' that makes you believe he's just like the rest of us.

here is my theory after reading his book which is brilliant by the way!I don't think he is gay just very devoted to his career right now and he is dating as others have reported although who is the question right now.

After sleeping on it, I'm disappointed in myself for speculating about Apolo's personal life. I don't judge others for doing so; it's an intriguing subject and I like to gossip as much as the next person, but it's just not an area I feel comfortable nosing around in. I'd rather support whatever he chooses to do professionally while accepting he has the right to live the rest of his life in private.
I can't stop myself from speculating, but in future I'll try to keep it inside my own head.

Oh, Bigheart, good luck keeping it inside your head! I feel guilty too, because it truly should not matter to us what his private life is about. Lexi's post was right on. The reason we speculate and want to know is because he is so very private, therefore intriguing. And we LIKE him and want him happy - his joy during DWTS made us realize this. If he were over exposed, the aura of mystry would be over. He is not a publicity seeker, which is why we like him but also why he drives us nuts. It's a catch 22. I don't think any of us want him to change, not that he would anyway.

I keep thinking about that little girl who dissolved into a puddle of tears over Sanjaya in the American Idol audience - I'm thinking "Yeah, it's kind'a like that"... LEXI, LEXI, LEXIE...here I go again..."WHAT SHE SAID!"

I'm just now reading this thread and thinking I should have come here to discuss the gay subject instead of the other thread. Thanks all of you who validated my absolutely positive belief that Apolo is not gay with the best possible reasoning and logic. Some of the comments had me laughing. And, BTW, wanting Apolo to be hetero does not automatically mean one is homophobic. Just means that I WANT HIM to WANT ME if I ever meet him one day.
