This bugs me and I needed to get it off my chest.My sil mentioned last night that Apolo might be gay because he is from Seattle.I have stood up for him and said that he prefers women.Why do people get my goat like that?  |

wow yeah ive heard that too.. people have said hes gay cause he wears tight pants.. thats not right!! it bugs me too.. but at least i know hes not gay .. we all know that so its all good  |

I think it's because he's sweet, unassuming and seems like a gentle spirit. All stereotypes about gay men (many of whom DO NOT fit this stereotype). I'm sorry, but no gay man would be as excited by the sight of Miss Hough as Apolo gets.
I happen to like that a straight guy is so d**n good looking, so d**n nice and so d**n sweet.
And why is it that if he's from Seattle he's gay? What have I missed here.. is Seattle the new San Francisco?

Ohhhhh. Don't even get me started!! This just gets me all worked up and I really get ticked off. I'm sick and tired of hearing this crap. Oh please. You "know" he isn't gay? How, exactly, would you know that? Have you slept with him. (Lucky you, if so). Even if you had, that would, at most, indicate he was maybe heterosexual. He could still be bi. As for the getting so excited about Julian, I thought they acted exactly as excited and giggly as I do when I get together with my girlfriends - all giggly, goofy, and hyper. Julian and her brother are just as good at putting on a sexy bump, grind and dry hump dirty dance, ya know. The only time I've seen any suggestion in his manner of sexual excitement was on the ice with Rusty and a few Koreans. Yeah ... you know the pics I'm talking about. Soooo, I have no idea what his preferences and proclivities are (except he seems to like skating and find it pretty exciting). If he prefers it mano a mano, that's his life. It won't change anything for me as the sexy, hot Apolo I know is a complete fabrication of PR and my very active imagination and will ALWAYS BE SO . (Any of you who think otherwise about your own fantasies becoming reality need to take a break and get a reality check). If so, though, reading posts about how his fans are so sure he is hetero and so offended at suggestions he is not must be utterly devastating. P.S. It aint just the tight pants and jewelry that cause speculation or the endless denial of girlfriends and relationship secrecy. The Hawaii trip with man friend Dave Creswell was not what one might expect from a testosterone charged hunk of burning heterosexuality. |

I want to clear up that I didn't say the thing about Seattle my sister in law did. I don't think he is even bi I think he is totally straight and very goodlooking if a married woman is allowed to say that.

You know, I have to say that I have considered the fact that the only thing that makes sense is that he IS gay. That would be the only reason I have been able to fashion that Julianne could still legitimately be with her boyfriend and have her family's approval and support. It's been the one sticking point for me -- I have seen all these videos of this really intense flirting on stage at shows where her bf is allegedly there. I think, huh, something not right ... LOL. Then it occurred to me that she knows he's gay and others in her inner circle do too and they are cool with the dances, the looks, the silly stuff that's sexual, because it's harmless, no threat at all... Something to think about .. oh my!!!  |

Ya know, I've heard several references to him being gay as well, but not because he's from Seattle. A local radio station here interviewed him twice when he was on DWTS & they are totally convinced he is gay. They can't fathom why he'd supposedly not be interested in someone as beautiful as Julianne...epsecially when they grilled him after her broken engagement and he still denied it. They also noted that he's pretty much never publically admitted to ever having a "girlfriend" in the past, he's always just said he was "dating." I dunno...anyone seen alone in public anymore is labeled as gay, so who knows.  |

I don't know, I donot want it to be true, but some things are really strange. I thing everyone fears talking about it. It is confusing. |

I can honestly say I've never gotten the gay vibe from Apolo. I don't know if it's because of his 'macho' sport and tough guy image or what. There’s just zero pinging on the radar from my perspective.
I think that Apolo can admire and appreciate someone's beauty without necessarily needing to take it any further. We've all done that and so the Julianne denial = gay suspicion just doesn’t wash with me. Besides, Julianne's taken. If he's guilty of anything, it's being a gentleman. What's he supposed to say if he really isn't seeing her? He's not going to admit it just to appease his fans if there's no truth to it. That's what's so startling about the whole Apolianne phenomenon. It's taken on a life of its own and it's starting to get really scary and Twilight Zone like.
I also believe he's hesitant to discuss his private life publically because he's learned from past mistakes. Most people didn't take too kindly to the revelation that he was involved with Allison. And after the craziness that followed his pairing with Julianne (and the pouncing on Zach), he's probably even more reluctant to make any statements about his relationship status. The repeated Apolianne denials and side steps into other topics is an intentional effort by him to respect Julianne's situation and my suspicion is he just wants the rumors and questions about them to go away.
If Apolo's proven himself to be anything, it's honest, authentic and 'straight up'. I think he's simply cautious with regard to those aspects of his life that are not for public consumption as opposed to being in any way deceptive. People will talk regardless and we know that Apolo’s not one to dignify ridiculous rumors of any kind with a response so its all probably a moot point.
